You can do that in two ways, either through GT mobile banking app or https://app.gtfundmanagers.com/

I’m not comfortable with Cowrywise’s naira mutual fund. Every time I invest, up to 1.5% is deducted from my principal, which I find unacceptable. When I raise it, I’m told it’s due to market fluctuations at the time of purchase. However, this same deduction keeps occurring with every deposit I make.

This is normal as a beginner. Every investor (including beginners) wants to be careful so as not to make fatal mistake.

I can assure you that as long as you keep asking questions here, you won't make mistakes as there are several experts here and including myself will ensure your questions is answered satisfactorily.

For privacy purposes, you could choose not to mention amount intended to be invested but just the investment.

*MMF is for preserving and compounding wealth.

*Equity mutual fund is for long term growth

*Fixed income is for taking whatever you can get daily from bond and money market instruments.

*Fixed deposits with banks is for the uninformed urbanites.

*Balanced Fund mirrors Equity mutual funds

*Picking individual stocks is not different from trading crypto (high risk, high reward) only if you know what you doing.

Those investments aforementioned are what most Nigerians engage in.

Anyone you don't understand we can discuss further here so everyone can learn and anyone can contribute their own knowledge.
Please my brother kindly point me to d best companies with good rates most suitable for MMF n Equity mutual funds n d fixed income from bonds and d step by step procedure to register with each of them as well...Thanks alot for all ur help n explanations so far

No MMF compounds daily in nigeria. Only stanbic compounds monthly. The rest, including cowrywise, compounds quaterly.

Safety of your fund is same accross all SEC regulated fund managers. You can chose any. I know some people will say na lie sha. That stanbic is safer because of huge holdings or fund managers with banks( like GTb) is safer. Na lie. All of them are the same. Just ensure u check that they are SEC approved.

To make this simple and for the benefitiary of all or for the sake of posterity.

I will make a video about it.

Give me the following to work with:

The amount range for investment for example (5 million-50 million)

The age range, example (40-45)

Lastly, how much you looking to be making from your investment.

Getting gtbank rate is wahala...but it's more than 17%

I usually ask when I go to the bank
Don’t you just hate it when it when rates are not readily available.

Any operator that lack that level of transparency i don’t invest in them.
Re: Mutual Funds by Creditalerts: 8:08pm On Feb 15
The broad day light robbery 😂they hide their rate or reap u off with unrealistic rates .if trustbanc and others can do 19% what is stopping them ? Even to do 18% sef na wahala 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️If not greed I pour them pregnant woman saliva 🤮
Re: Mutual Funds by Creditalerts: 8:15pm On Feb 15
The premium MMF FirstAlly is doing sef is not necessary because nothing is special 🤣🤣🤣premium with 18% 🤣🤣🤣 if not for their swift withdrawal nothing special about them also their MMF premuim should be doing 19%-20%🙄

even when available, how many people care or have time to calculate to know if it matches with results. Nothing stops one advertising 35% but gives ROI using 20%

Anyway sha, una sabi. Me ma never bothered mySlef with all the noise.

nickae:

@nickae, why the fear?

Is it about the safety of funds? I have said repeatedly here that investments in Money Market Funds (MMFs) carry the same level of risk and safety irrespective of the firm you invest with, as long as the fund is properly registered and regulated.

Let’s not confuse service quality or rate with the nature of the mutual fund.

The nature of MMFs is the same across board. What differs is service delivery, technology, responsiveness, assets under management, rate, and operational efficiency.

It’s like saying one Pension Fund Administrator is “safer” than another simply because of brand perception. That would be misinformation. All PFAs operate under the same regulatory framework.

Many people seem to underrate the work of the SEC in regulating the capital market. No serious operator toys with the SEC. Non-compliance attracts serious sanctions.

Now, the only time concern is valid is when:

A firm is selling a product that is NOT truly an MMF,

Or an investor mistakes another type of product for an MMF.

Outside of that, an MMF from a newly licensed SEC-regulated firm carries the same structural safety framework as one from a long-established, popular, or perceived bank-backed firm.

Due diligence is always important. But in terms of regulatory safety of funds, licensed fund managers operate under the same rules.

Differences may exist in:
Customer service
Technology platforms
Speed of execution
Assets under management
Quality of personnel
Rate

Though I represent some firms, my decision is based on engagement terms and service efficiency — not because one MMF is “safer” than another.

Let’s continue to invest wisely and stay informed.

Don't forget to use the links in my signature and codes in my posts to open accounts with Norrenberger, First Ally, SFS, Stanbic, and Investment One for MMF and stock investments.

And remember making money without tears remains our goal!

Seems investment corporations and banks are judging their annual interest rates with the strengthening of the Naira( exchange rate).Hoping it doesn't drop below this. And government will still take its WHT.
Re: Mutual Funds by AncestralPowers: 2:09pm On Feb 16
Norrenberger don fall our hand, I just want to wait a bit let me see their rebounding process, if nothing improves in few days, na to relocate my little funds to another fund manager.
