What did Athletico do when he was removed?

You only focused on one part leaving his holdup play, passes and goal.

The Club Bruges were dominant against this Athletico. What do you expect? Magic!!

They pressed from start to finish forcing Athletico to commit errors. Despite that Lookman hardly lost the ball.

Another thing is, Lookman was not tasked to press.

He was behind the front layer of the 2 attacker on the left flank.
nah , his hold up play today was not that good. A lot of times they collected the ball from him. Besides if you watched the game well, when they are defending , he doesn't go wide to cover for the left back. And even Diego simeone had to call his attention to that in the first half . Let's end this talk. I just said what I observed. It will be good if he works on that defensive alertness. It will help him and the national team.

Exactly. Our captain is just not fast enough for this level. Singo should start all UCL and Fenerbache matches.

Btw do u know why Renato Nhaga wasn't in the squad? That is my favourite January signing. Silky Smooth Kante grin
Yeah, I heard only 3 players can be added for the second half of the Champions League season so, Sacha Boey, Yáser Asprilla and Noa Lang were added, last born Nhaga had to be left out to develop and play in the league too.

That boy is tooooooo smooth. Last born lion 😂

Is it Juventuspor that Osimhen played against yesterday and ran their defense ragged?

Thunder fire those mocking this hard working Nigerian who was a victim of circumstances and is making juice out of the bitter lemon Napoli gave him. Una go suffer!
Just leave them. They should continue. Everybody just pretended to forget what Napoli did to him, till today, I still watch those TikTok videos they used to racially mock him just to fuel my hhhatee for them more. Nonsense club.

Uganda isn't Morocco
He had a good game against Uganda because he had more time on the ball which suits his style of play...Ndidi was missed in the role Onyedika played against Morocco cause Ndidi is a destroyer, press resistant and is more physically dominant. Onyedika isn't that type of player and that was why he was overrun by the Moroccan press. Watch Onyedika in the role he plays at Brugge and you will know what I'm talking about.
absolutely correct. Even few times A. Madrid pressed hard , he gave out the ball in dangerous position. Attacking wise and controlling the game the guy is very smooth. He will need people to be doing the dirty work like stankovic

Osimhen has come to understand that a striker's job goes beyond scoring. He believes that a striker's job is to worry, it's to just be a problem for your defense, give them work, make them suffer, make them sweat, make them soft like Moi Moi so that if he does not score, his teammates will score.

Kai
I said it many times that Galatasaray's style of play unlocked more aspects of his game and improved him as a player. I've been studying every Osimhen's stats and attributes since he became my favourite player and his Galatasaray all round attributes have been the best in his career, and it has been showing in the UCL and in national team matches too. Osimhen is a better player defensively, technically and offensively now.

Points to note:

Raphael Onyedika is a double pivot midfield specialist (CDM), not a single pivot CDM.

This means he needs a double pivot partner who helps compliments his qualities in the role. Leaving Onyedika as a single pivot against a good midfield is recipe for disaster currently. He thrives in a proper double pivot and just has not evolved yet into a single pivot specialist.

So when it's a tough opponent, he can't play as a CDM?

For them to have landed the job to Habib Beye, it means they were looking for a coach with the “Africanness”…Chelle was an option for them

See as them dey roast Tolu for here. Omo.

I don't know how the guys just not using all the advantages he has to become a menacing striker, and he say Osimhen na him idol. His headers are the most annoying thing about him. You'd think you've hit the jackpot with an aerial monster, him headers dey always go up.

Omo ademola may be over hyped. He doesn't press well at all. So lax in this game. Good he was yanked off. I see why some players will still be in super eagles. People like Simon especially when you need that defensive shift
