GMs:
Good morning everyone,

Any information would really be helpful please. I did my first IVF in UK and it wasn’t successful, I then had another one in Lagos which wasn’t successful as well. However for the second one in Lagos I paid for two cycle. I am considering going for the second cycle as I still have frozen embryos, but then I’m considering exploring surrogacy. I have no clue of the cost implications or the process in Lagos. Every information shared will be helpful.

Thank you
Hello sis

I also live in the UK and considering surrogacy but my concern is how to bring the baby here. There are several hospitals and agencies that offer surrogacy in Nigeria and I have contacted a few of them including St Ives, Nordica, AB10/fertigold, meet the surrogacy mothers et c.

Also there is a lady I'm following on tiktok who lives in the UK and did surrogacy in Nigeria ( handle is lifewithpatuchi) and she is sharing her surrogacy journey but she is yet to get her baby's document the last time I checked. You may find helpful tips on her page.

Do you have any information on how to bring the baby to the UK? Do you mind if I send you a DM so we can discuss further?

Baby uust sis

Thank you.

Happy New Year everyone!

After two failed ivfs, millions down the drain, we want to try again in Abuja in this 2026 but most of the reviews I have been seeing her about Abuja fertility hospitals date back to about 2/3 years ago.

Can anyone help out with some suggestions and recommendations about fertility clinics and hospitals in Abuja that give some human touch and care to patients instead of those that focus purely on money without considering the attendant psychological effects their lack of care and patient friendly focus have on their patients?

Any recommendation and costs overview with attendant success rates will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance 🙏

Many good hospitals in Abuja.

A close family member got twins from Joje plus 3 other people she later introduced.

I had my daughters from Prime Care in 2023 and 2025.

Hey Mama. So sorry about your failed IVF. I had 2 failed IUIs and 2 failed transfers in Nordica in Lagos even though my numbers were good too (hormonal profile, HSG, sonohysterography, hysteroscopy, uterine lining fine, donor sperm) and i did not like the fact they did not wait to see what was causing it and just wanted to book me for another transfer. I spent about 15M in all of these.

I changed to Primecare last year and I am currently 4 months pregnant (first fresh transfer failed, FET successful). Their price is 1/3 the price in Nordica. Something Primecare added to my treatment was Intralipids incase the implantation failures were immune related and that cycle was successful.

I pray you get your positive result in your next try mama. All the best.

I put the Nordica reference not to put them down but to share my experience for those considering them. I had heard people say they got results but not a lot on this thread. Plus after my first egg retrieval, they were suggesting i do another one and I had 7 blasts, in my mind, i was like at least let me even transfer these ones its not like i want 10 children. Ps i was just turning 32 years then. Plus they were charging 100k per embryo storage per quarter. So all of that just put me off

all these hue and cry about reality and insensitivity reminded me of my sister and her story. she married late to start with and then started a titanic struggle with infertility. she took every manner of treatment and prayed all she could. she spent until she was koboless. she worried until she became very ill. we could not say where de infertility was coming from as our dear mother had twelve of us and our dear grandmother even did better.
Are you talking about your own blood sister??

Thank you.

So sorry about the failure mama. For one cycle 1.3m or 1.65m(for antagonist protocol). But you have do the investigation which cost about 180k. If you are not in abuja, you can talk to them about doing it where you are and sending the result. It was an option for me. They may ask you to do hysteroscopy if you have had failures in the past, it is like 180k too. Frozen enbryo transfer is 850. For the Intralipids i paid extra 600k for 3 doses, but you may not need that. I just wanted them to do everything cause i was tired of the failures.
I hope their price hasn’t increased sha. These prices were as at March to October last year.

Happy new year guys! Last time I was here, I had a failed cycle after using embryo glue, intralipids, acupuncture and all. I rested a little because we needed to recuperate from the millions that went down. Also travelling back and forth from the US was a struggle. Taking several days off work, and losing both time and money. We decided to try surrogacy. Grabbo hospital Abuja advised we look for a surrogacy agency. We did and went with Chris World surrogacy (someone here introduced me to them). To the glory of God…I am a mother of twin girls who are 1 year old now ( 1st try…2 surrogates = negative , 2nd try …. 2 surrogates positive). One of our surrogates lost her pregnancy after 4/5 weeks ( she was carrying one). The twins stayed, though they came early but are very healthy. This year, we are back to Grabbo for gender selection for a boy. Myself and two surrogates as advised by the agency. Testing is in a few days. Hoping for the best. IVF has no best hospital, you would have to pray, do research and ultimately do what works for you. Baby dust to us all. Plus the agency is affordable. Gender selection was not affordable and I promised not to do it again (about 12 million Naira for two donors). If you are like me and cannot afford to travel back and forth, you may consider surrogacy. My girls have their US passport valid for 5 years. The agency gave us all we needed for the embassy, also Grabbo hospital gave us all we needed too. All documents was accepted at the US consulate in Abuja one time. That’s why we have the liver to try again. So help me God.

I hope this info sets someone free or helps someone make a decision. Parental order is arranged by agency. I just watched a video on tiktok with a lady going back and forth to court to get parental order. I did not go through a single stress for that.

Wow congratulations momma! I can imagine the amount this whole process may have cost you.

Secondly, if you're based abroad, you cannot over emphasize the importance of using an agency for surrogacy, because they will help with necessary documentation that you need for the embassy. i Know the lady you mentioned on tiktok, and i so feel for her. I pray she gets all that she needs to be able to go back to the UK with her child.

Hello, Mama, Please, do you know of any fertility clinics in Lagos for IVF? I have done 2 IVF in Canada, but it failed. I am thinking of coming to Nigeria to do it. Any recommended clinic with a high success rate. I am 36 years old. Thank you

so sad, this is millions going down the drain. Where the 6 ivfs done in the same hospital? Own egg or donor egg? Cos I'm looking at the possible cos, if same hospital it could be facility factor and embryo quality, if it's different hospitals then it's definitely embryo quality. Quality of the sperm and egg has a role to play on implantation especially with surrogates.
Don't just give up, make research and read extensively before you try again. If using own egg, build your egg quality and oga's sperm with supplements.
