Good day house,

Please, with the recent ban placed on Nigeria, can someone still submit petition for EB2 NIW and get a PD locked?

Thanks.

This pause is on visa issuance by the Department of State does not prohibit filing with USCIS. The priority date stays valid even if visa issuance is delayed. So filing now “locks in” your priority date.

It would be part of your medical so the medical facility they tell you to go to will list the immunizations you need. It'll be covered by the medicals fees you pay.

They will tell you but it’s not part of the payment, once they determine the list of immunizations you need, they will cost it and you will have to pay

Please, give us more updates about this friend of yours. When was his/her priority date? When did he/she become documentarily qualified? Some updates on the interview would also be appreciated, especially regarding Visa issuance.
Thank you

Attend pls, you can not reschedule this isn't non immigrant visa
The interview will go on as usual, they would just not issue the visa because of the ban. Once the ban is called off the applicant will be called back to submit passport or you contact the embassy that you were interviewed and the ban has been lifted.

Is this what they have been with those who were interviewed after the ban?

Yes, employment based visas are immigrant visas.
Other immigrant visa categories are being interviewed in Lagos as well, interviews as usual but no visa issuance due to the ban.

The only downside is that your medicals will expire after 6months so if the ban is lifted and it expires then you'd need to repeat medicals.

Pls, i want to apply for Eb2 NIW. But i don’t have citations and reviews in my publication. Can i submit any journal or is their a particular journal used for Eb2. And can my work experience , come from any private company. I have Bsc in industrial chemistry and masters in public health. Pls i need guidance. Thanks
Re: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Babbyad: 11:30am On Feb 19
That you don't have citations doesn't rule you out. Citations are much focused on when it comes to EB-1. In EB-2NIW, you can even submit a white paper and you will get approval if your case is tabled well....

Doesn't affect you applying or getting the visa.
Country of chargeabilty can be the other passport since that isn't under a ban.

Good day everyone,

I’ve been following this thread for a while and I really appreciate all the insights shared here. I would like to get honest opinions about my chances for EB2 NIW based on my background.

Eduation:
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management
Postgraduate Certificate in Supply Chain & Logistics(Canada)

Work Experience:
2 years experience in Customer Service after graduation
Over 6 years working with a construction firm as a Project Coordinator (while running my own cosmetics and beauty products business at the same time)
1 year experience as a Warehouse Associate (Canada)
18 months experience as an Associate Software Engineer(Canada)

I completed a Software Engineering Bootcamp prior to working as an Associate Software Engineer

Questions:
Based on this profile, do I have a realistic chance for EB2 NIW?
What areas of my profile look weak?
What can I improve before considering applying?

I would really appreciate honest feedback from anyone. Thank you

Hi everyone, please I have a quick question. Does someone who has a law degree (LL.B) which is a JD equivalent qualify for EB2 as an advanced degree holder? Does a lawyer need a masters degree to show advanced degree?
Thank you.
Re: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Babbyad: 2:35am On Apr 24
A very tricky situation cos some credential evaluators classify an LL.B as equivalent to a U.S. JD (advanced degree)
while others may classify it as just a bachelor’s degree...
But remember that your five years of professional experience can be equivalent to your advanced degree... In that way, it will cover for the advanced degree gap.
