The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, on Thursday conducted a search of the residence of Malam Nasir Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State.

The development was disclosed by his media aide, Muyiwa Adekeye, on Thursday.

Ubong Akpan, El-Rufai’s lawyer, condemned the action, describing it as “unlawful and a clear violation of legal procedures and fundamental rights.”

The post reads: “The residence of Malam Nasir @elrufai was today searched by the ICPC.”

The ICPC confirmed on Thursday that El-Rufai is now in its custody.

DAILY POST reported that the former governor was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) shortly after being released on bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday.

According to reports, DSS operatives picked up El-Rufai following his EFCC bail, in connection with allegations that he unlawfully intercepted the phone communications of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

El Rufai is not coming out any time soon. He is in deep trouble. He will answer for the death and massacre of Christians in Kaduna when he was a Governor.

He thought that as he entered ADC, his sins will be forgiven. Look at how he was leaking his mouth thinking he was someone important.

He thought Nigeria will burn if he is arrested.

The earlier you understand you don't have a working system the better. The vilification of El Rufai is all politics. Yahaya Bello, Obasa and many others are good examples.

1) Over 50% of Yorubas do not support Tinubu.
2) 95% of Tinubu's supporters are Yoruba.

Life can change in a twinkle.
Nasir went to Chatham House to defend Tinubu, Reno was outside the arena protesting calling Tinubu all sorts of names.

Funnily, the later was rewarded with an ambassadorial appointment while the former is being dragged and is about to go down grin

This reminds me of the sinner who repented on the cross of Calvary and subsequently saw paradise together with Christ.

When they do these raids, do they ever find anything, or is it just for formalities? Because I do not see how anyone, much less someone like El Rufai, who has been anticipating his arrest to leave anything incriminating in his premises.

If the accusation is financial, you will find more by just following and tracing the money

Maybe it is just a show of power and intimidation, sha.

Tinubu: 10% governance, 90% politics.

He turned all government agencies to a political tool for attacking anyone that calls out his incompetence and wickedness.

When they say Tinubu is a master strategist, theu mean he is a master at winning elections (usually untheically).

The damage Tinubu gas done to use Yorubas reputation. Only God knows how many decades we will take to fix it.
