Many years ago,I Left Christianity for Omenala—What I Was Asked to Pay Shocked Me Back to My Christian Faith

There was a time in my life when things were really hard. I was broke, confused, and tired of praying without seeing any result. It honestly felt like Jesus wasn’t even hearing me anymore.

Out of frustration, I started thinking… maybe I should try something else. That was how I decided to try Omenala. The very first day I went to see a native doctor, he told me my forefathers had not been “fed” for years. Then he gave me a list of things to bring—goat and other items that would cost almost ₦200,000. I was shocked.

Here I was, struggling to even eat the next day, and someone was telling me to go and find that kind of money just to perform rituals. That was when reality hit me. How can I be asked to feed the dead when I, the living, have not eaten?

I quietly left there and started thinking deeply. Then I remembered something—when you go to church, nobody stops you from praying because you don’t have money. You can worship, cry, and talk to God freely. Even when offerings are mentioned, it’s not by force. You give only if you can, and from your heart.

That experience opened my eyes. Some people complain that pastors are collecting money, but they don’t talk about how much they spend on traditional practices. The difference is, in church, you are not forced. But in that place, everything had a price—especially your desperation. That moment made me realize that what I was looking for wasn’t there. It brought me back to my faith with a better understanding. And Jesus solved my problems

➜As much as I do not belief this rubbish cock and bullying story..I will however mention one thing- every religion on earth every single one of them is born out of man's deep desire to glorify himself...religion is about making humans the main character while pretending to be weak and vulnerable...think about it

➔Religion does not interest me that much I think you can seduce that from my respond to the original post...Hence I don not care to read many religious books I only speak based on the ones I have read or better still the religions I have been able to study(based on what and people around me) I have not been to Asia so I no nothing about their Buddha or shiva or whatever...But two most popular religions are based on similar ideologies...There is a supreme being who is the maker of everything we both see and do not see

The truth is that what anyone who chooses to serve the devil loses in the process is much more than that lost by anyone who decides to serve God.

Whatever the devil would give to you, he ensure that he takes exceedingly more from you, because he's a thief who doesn't come to anyone except to steal, kill and destroy.

On the contrary, God only wants to help, heal, save, deliver, heal, restore and add value to a man's life, and whatever God takes from any man, He would give them much more and abundance in return, if not in this life, in the life to come.

So let nobody deceive you.

You're much better off serving God with your life even in penury than the devil in riches.

Don't wait until they ask you to sacrifice one of your loved ones, before you realize yourself and come running back to God.

1. You don't need to visit Asia to learn all you can of those religions or any religion. You could simply pick up at least one of the thousands of books out there on the subject to start yourself on any religion you wanted to learn of. The main thing is to at least start. Don't go around pretending! 🥱🥱

2. This particular story here is from the Torah's idea of creation. How did you come about concluding that all religions have this same narrative as far as the creation story is concerned?

What I love about Christianity is that it is not a Religion in it real sense, Christianity is a way of life.You don't even have to go to a place of worship to be a Christian, even the devil might be the most devoted church goer.
