Abikeadebey:Tax clearance certificate is not a must have. It is a good to have. If you have, submit it. Don't complicate your case with any funny moves. Always stick to the truth. UK Visa is not a do or die affair. |

BruceXavier:Who is committing a fraud are you okay? I haven’t even started my application I have active Schengen and Canada, I was just asking on how to perfect my documentations. The company that will pay me salary is my husband company which I run also. Use your brain before you type |

Cashmadam:You just answered my question, Which is tax clearance is not a must have……. I never said it was a do or die. I only asked for the best way to apply as I already have active Schengen and Canada visa |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by abuhusna1: 5:01pm On Feb 21 |
Abikeadebey:Their is no way you wont use a forged document if someone pays you salary because it has to show remitted tax to the authority except what you earn is so little and need not to pay tax. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 7:31pm On Feb 21 |
Abikeadebey:Madam, do what you think is right. If something is not a must have, it means it is not compulsory. A good to have means it is desirable but not compulsory. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Abikeadebey: 2:00am On Feb 22 |
abuhusna1:Aiit thank you! I’ll continue paying myself salary from my business account, since a gentleman already gave me a good answer that “tax clearance is not compulsory” rather than judging or acting like the UK consular…. Your responses on here to a simple question/opinion is very mean |

Hello good people of the house, cashmadan and other gurus, I need urgent response on this question As a sponsor can we type and print sponsorship letter, consent letter and clarification letter on company letter headed paper, hope it will not cause issues ? Thanks for ur response |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by jmoore(m): 7:25am On Feb 22 |
Goodluck70000:Is it the company that is sponsoring or an individual? If it's an individual, you don't need company letterhead. |

Abikeadebey: BruceXavier is right, the above idea is fraudulent and should not be encouraged here. Its funny how we put out such fraudulent idea easily as if its legitimate |

justwise: Abikeadebey:See just leave her. When I made my comment, I said this person doesnt understand the implication of what she is trying to do. Even if you explain it to her until tomorrow, she clearly cannot see anything wrong with it and it's really no fault of hers. She's a reflection of the average Nigerian who is used to getting things done the wrong way and believes it is right, because many others do it, sometimes without immediate consequence. The point still remains that getting someone's company to pay into your account for the purpose of your application is fraudulent, you have to tell stories that are untrue even if it's your dear husband's company On the issue of tax clearance, as already stated here, it is not complusory. However in recent times the UK has been notoriously known to refuse visas application of business owners/ self employed individuals for this sole reason. There are several self-employed individuals who may have received visas in the past and present without presenting tax clearance, the key difference is usually their circumstance. It is possible that at the time they got their first UK visa, UKVI wasn't as strict as they are now and their extensive travel history helps avoid much scrutiny. For example when my brother got his first UK visa several years ago(Pre-COVID), his company was inactive on CAC webiste, he didnt present any TCC, yet he got it and he has continued to get his visa renewed without TCC. A few years after COVID, we started seeing high rates of refusals from UKVI for inactive company status on CAC website and none submission of TCC, especially for first timers with little or no strong travel history. In your case, your active Scheghen and Canada may work in your favour especially if you have used them before. Your circumstance and how you present it will determine if your application will be successful or not, with or without TCC Avoid fruadulent moves, E get why |

Hello, I'm asking on behalf of someone apply for visitor's visa to write OSCE. She currently leaves with a friend and her family, for close proximity to work. Her friend's Parents own the house. Is it ok to put that under 'give more details about living situation? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Trendie247: 4:05pm On Feb 25 |
TomatoSauce1:Just be careful.. Not owning a home or having a formal tenancy agreement can sometimes be viewed as having "weak ties" to your home country. |
