Lagos money in particular was the main reason Tinubu was successful as an opposition leader.

At this point my sincere opinion is that the so called opposition ought to take a seat and just observe how things unfold. Because, at this rate, there is absolutely NOTHING they can do to stop president Ahmed tinubu from wining the next election. It's a futile effort, really.

If you ask the doctors that were on strike for 13 months, or the students of the state university that he hiked their fees, or the relatives of the victims at that river in Anambra during his tenure, you think they'll consider him as not being part of the oppressors? (Although they may not consider him as being part of the oppressors now because he's their tribesman. Everyone saw the wonders tribalism have been doing to you guys since 2023 election, where the devil you cursed for all of his 8 years ruling your state suddenly became the saintly messiah you want to rule the country).

Let me ask you directly. Would you vote for someone because they give you a packet of indomie?
There's a reason why most urban centres in Nigeria hardly give overwhelming votes to candidates unlike the rural areas.
In the north for example, I've witnessed where party agents transport voters from their villages down to their polling units. Those voters will definitely vote for who the agent asks them to vote for. Again I ask, would you decide your vote based on who offers you transport to your polling unit?

It’s difficult to speak to the ineptitude of political opposition in Nigeria. They are not serious. And I think anybody who looks at the system has got to say that, at the moment, there is absolutely no opposition.

I can understand everyone's concern about the state of opposition in the Nigerian political space, the concerns of Prof. Odinkaalu inclusive.
Nobody should blame, Peter Obi, Abubakar Atiku or anyone else, but rather the Nigerian judicial system, from the FHC- the Supreme Court. They are the ones that have killed opposition in Nigeria.
Cast your minds back to the case between Governor Fubara and the then defected members of the RSHA, before the Federal High Court could decide on the matter, the Supreme Court had already given a judgement that wasn't before them.
In the case of PDP, they have written, to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Courts asking that some judges of particular concern should be recused from the cases they have filled before the Federal High Courts, only for the case, to be referred back to the judges of particular concern, even what they defendants never asked for, was given to them by a judge of Federal High Court Oyo. When the courts begins to give to the defendants, what the never asked for, meant to weaken the opposition, what else can they do.
Our judicial system is to be blamed for the weakness of the opposition in the Nigerian political space, not anyone else.

He got the highest number of votes any Nigerian has Ever got in history in 2011

23 million combined total of nearly all candidates after Bvas introduction in 2023

In the SE he got 5 million whilst Peter Obi only managed 1.9 million
