SENATE SEEKS ADDITIONAL 30 BILLION NAIRA FOR INEC TO CONDUCT 2027 ELECTION

The Senate committee on electoral matters is requesting for an additional 30 billion naira to the Independent National Electoral Commission for the conduct of the 2027 General election.

INEC had initially proposed 873 billion for the elections.

National assembly correspondent Lami Ali reports that reasons for the increase are with regards to logistics for efficiency.

This is the time all well meaning progrseeive Nigerians need to come out on the streets and force the senate to make transmission of election result real time from polling unit mandatory.

This is the only condition that will justify any money that will be spent on the upcoming elections..

Anything asides this is a chase after the wind.

Without electronic transmission of results from polling unit real time, the elections willl be rigged and Nigeria will never ever move forward.

No matter how anybody tries to justify non inclusion of mandatory transmission, it remains the only viable option to option A4.

Wether city boy or village boy or Atiku, I care less who wins.. Just make the electoral process credible.

My advise to the new inec chairman is to know that he will not be alive forever and he has the chance to have his name and that of his unborn generation to be written in gold or go the way of Mahmood yahooboo

Generations to come will never forgive mahmood yakubu for selling the sovereignty of Nigeria and history will have his name written in the mud.

When it's comes to election they have the money..at that time Nigeria is not broke ..but when it comes to what concerns Nigerians, workers protesting for their unpaid salaries, entitlements , pensions ..no money...they will say Nigeria is broke

All the money that's meant for 2027 elections should be better used to build hospitals across Nigeria. There's no need of doing that looting anymore.
