All Polling Units In Nigeria Have Internet Access - Ex-INEC Commissioner, Okoye by etokhana(op): 8:20am On Feb 25
Former National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Festus Okoye, says every polling unit in Nigeria has internet access.

Okoye made this revelation on Tuesday during an interview on Trust TV monitored by DAILY POST.

He was speaking on the national debate around the Electoral Act amendment by the National Assembly and signed by President Bola Tinubu.

He said, “All the INEC machines for the election come with power bank and other accessories.

“Now, when elections are over, the Presiding Officer has snapped the For EC8A and there’s no network at that particular point, it stores the information in. The moment it comes into contact with the network, it transmits immediately.
“So, what the Presiding Officer has inputed, he cannot undo it until he gets network. No these whole issue about network, I think it’s an unnecessary debate.

“There’s no polling unit in this country where there’s no network. None. Forget about all these things about network connectivity. It’s just a lame excuse.

“Before iReV was deployed, the Commission conducted elections in different places and has used its result viewing portal to upload polling units level results.”

Some miscreants will not agree with this.
The prefer to sell their future and of their children to politicians.

Some of these youth thinks that the politicians they are supporting today can not decamp to another ruling party.

How can a reasonable person keep supporting people that oppress to them.

If there is Real time transmission of results, power will not be in the hands of the politicians but in the hands of the electorates.

You can votes whosoever u want and politicians will not be messing up once they are in power because if they messed up they will not return again.

This is not completely true.
There are still places in this country without network.

Besides there was an electio where we bought data for the presiding officer.
As I am writing this, if eletion were conducted in my home town, transmitting
results in realtim is almost impossible.

No light for days and the internet is erratic.
