Bosman17:Addax is not an American Company. Sinopec is not an American company. No money was taken out of the American system. Money was taken into the US. Crime was a Nigerian state crime. You guys hate your country so much, you'll look for an excuse for an outsider. |

Commentor:If you want the money, expose the crime and convict the criminal yourself and leave those who built their society well enough to have strong institutions that are powerful enough to deal with even the most powerful of criminals. Why should the Americans painstakingly do the works to unravel a mystery only to give Nigeria the money recovered when we all know what would have been the case if the thief had stayed in Nigeria? If he didn't travel or invest in the US or evade the US tax, he would have been living large here in Nigeria and might even be an active member of APGA, ADC or even the ruling party, APC by now and if his prosecution was done in Nigeria, his people would have termed it witch hunting. |

Most of the Management Staff of NNPC and •its Subsidiaries Should Be In JAIL,just like Many Politicians in Nigeria. In A Serious Nation, for they have Stolen and Loots the Place which has Now Crippled without Mercy to Nigerian Masses. Very Shameful Situation Indeed 😥! |

Bluntemperor:The irony is that if u were the person working in the same NNPC, or its subsidiaries, or u were the said so called politician, na so others for dey shout jail time for u also, many will even be demanding u face firing squad without a court trial. Are u not a Nigerian? The moral of the story, is that u are all the same, charcoal pot, calling electric kettle black. |

QuinQQ:87 months in federal prison equals 7 years and 3 months. With the standard 15% reduction for good behavior (54 days per year). An inmate typically serves approximately 85% of the sentence, for 87 months this equates to roughly 74 months (6 years and 2 months) actually served behind bars, potentially with the final months in a halfway house or home confinement. Key Details: Total Time: 7.25 years (87÷12) Time Served (Approx. 85%): ~74 months (6.16 years). Good Conduct Time: Up to 54 days off per year. Release: May include 6-12 months in a halfway house. |

Burob:You were asked a simple question. Show us the math that arrives at 5 years. Another thing, when discussing jail time you don't assume maximum time off and perfect good behaviour, otherwise you'd also take into account time served and appeals, in which case you could say he was sentenced to zero jail time! |
