Reason is, when you go to the lady's inbox you will find tens of people like you,all sending the same boring msg- "how was your night, happy Sunday, hope you slept well bla bla bla"

People are more satisfied with engaging in posting and check photos, pictures, videos, reels, pranks ,on social media than chatting and reading.

Because, I can tell many people spend more time on social media, they just choose not to type or comment but rather preffer hitting the like button

True. Those people who reply one lines in chats and take ages to reply are always online, scrolling, liking and commenting on their favorite posts. But to chat is a problem. Social media takes a sizable chunk of your brain especially women. Makes them duller.

I think communication generally is reducing. More people are withdrawing into their shells and don't waste their communication anyhow. People now only communicate when is absolutely necessary.

I guess many people like you are yet to come to terms with the fact that the evolution of tech has gotten to a point humans prefer these days to stay glued to communicating with machines automated by pieces of codes than humans. Even contents creation are geared towards holding attention of users down for hours part of the reasons, physical social interaction is diminishing by the day. Haven't you noticed that when you are in the banking hall these days in the midst of many customers waiting to be served , you hardly hear any voice rather almost every one holds a gadget staring directly and interacting with it? It's a disturbing development the world over. Gone were the days where in Such a hall you hear noise as people discuss and interact. So it is these days.

I like calling when, the matter is urgent, quick clarification, the issue is serious, there is risk of misunderstanding especially in business negotiations, apologies, important discussions)

Calling is Faster, clearer tone and emotion.

I prefer calling anyday anytime.....not I don't like chatting oooo but calling is preferable. maybe when one is in danger, you can chat at that crucial time
