Hello people, do you know if having invitation letter increases one's chance of getting tourist visa approved. I applied and interviewed...was rejected no reason given. I want to reapply and schedule interview for march, maybe with an invitation letter this time.

Invitation letter makes little difference in my opinion. Just package your application properly.

You were interviewed or your wife?

Both, no serious questions were asked. I'm suspecting they rejected because we used dummy ticket. We've reapplied, interview in 10 days.

Hello, did you get the visa?
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Coolbrackman: 3:32pm On Feb 26
Any one with how yo re-apply after having not approved visa for visiting even with the authorized invitation letter from my wife and I only have a scan copy of it attached. Will I need to get the original invitation letter, could that be the reason of getting not approved for the visiting visa because I didn’t got for the family reunion because it takes time. I will like if there is any that can share how they reapply after getting not approved.

Did you get approved the second time and does it take long before you send the physical document to the consulate ? Thanks.

Nah, wasn't approved. I don't reside in Nigeria, timing for presenting documents depends on your location and availability of time. It's about 2weeks here, could be less.

Invitation letter doesn't matter much, I think it all depends on the consulate you're applying from. I heard this particular embassy hasn't approved any Nigerian visa application in over a year.

It doesn't matter the consulate, its generally getting difficult for anyone with a Nigerian Passport.

It does! While decisions are based on the same laws and criteria worldwide, approval rates vary between consulates due to many factors.
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Letsmove: 10:40am On Mar 03
When was the last tine you see people celebrating approvals here like before? One in 10 approvals are being given and the odd for denial is high if you are a woman thanks to this group and the lousy nature of us on tiktok.

Nairaland is not my source. I personally know more than 10 people who applied from other countries, they all got it. My wife & I (+2 others, a friend and his wife) applied from our location, all rejected. We were all supposed to meet in Brazil for party. So yeah, location matters.

It’s only me that is going and I only have few days to use because of my business back home so I believe I can go with tourist and have my son document as a back up this time around which is what I didn’t do in my first application.
