President Tinubu is the ultimate master strategist, always miles ahead, always outplaying the opposition. A million Obis and Atikus combined still can’t match him. Give it to the Jagaban. His opponents and their supporters wish to possess Asiwaju’s attributes, but they never will. While he’s making real moves, they’re busy chasing shadows, lost in a never-ending political wild goose chase. |

Kenobsky:The “village boys” response to the “city boy” movement is poorly conceived and out of touch. No country thrives without cities, and creating empty countertrends that alienate city-dwellers ignores the fact that cities often represent hope for a better future—even for villagers. Movements should focus on addressing the real, immediate challenges people are facing. |

Jonjam269:..by using wike to destabilize and destroy PDP and using people to destroy labour party..why is he afraid of the opposition parties why destabilizing and destroying them.. using people to destroy PDP and labour party,is that democratic..that is dictatorship, autocracy.... Tinubu knows that he has not performed well and he has failed..that is why he is destroying the PDP and labour party which he knows that those parties will give him tough time in the 2027 election and make him lose the election |

Tinubu was just busy hoarding our money primarily for this period. I'm very sure he only made use of 30% and hoarded 70% for his re-election. This is very unfortunate and some persons are applauding such level of wickedness |

davidtemi:Keep deceiving yourself! She is just being positioned to be a minister or one important political post in the second term of Tinubu as a reward for his father's support of Tinubu. That is how rich and political men integrate themselves into the mainstream of Nigeria politics. She is indirectly doing her leadership training in preparation for the reward into Tinubu 2nd term. It is just to reward Soludo indirectly |

brain54:Why do you guys keep waiting for opposition political figures and opposition parties to lead from the front forgetting that the real opposition should be the citizens of Nigeria, the ones that have been directly battered and bruised by the hardship brought by the current administration? The citizens of Nigeria should collectively take their rightful positions and become very instrumental in deciding who becomes their leaders, not waiting for an opposition messiah to lead the opposition and magically save the country! Be the opposition that you expect from your politicians! |

They're clearly rubbing it in your face that their govt is only for the elite and you, q poor man are still fooling around on the internet to push their cause. Black man and inferiority complex. |

bentenny:You made a sound point... But the opposition still needs to put their house in order and show seriousness and organisation in their ability to lead from the front. The citizens can take it from there. Remember that opposition's responsibility is also to put the ruling government in check. A formidable opposition puts the government in check through scrutiny of it's policies, creating awareness and shaping public opinions. Opposition has its roles so does the citizens. A confused and ruderless opposition would become a problem to the citizens in the end! |

This one should be city girl nau................. CITY BOYS VS VILLAGE BOYS in 2027 we shall see who will have the upper hand.................... ![]() for us that are village boys we are getting ready................................ opposition should buckle up for the great task ahead because we are to defeat the evil once including the so called city boys movement.. they are the reason you cant get job and contract but them keep getting richer.. they are the reason you cant have a house but they own mansions everywhere even without known job.. they are the reason why you can not progress and your future turns futureless.. they are the reason you can not afford 3 square mean but they will share you food for just a day and leave you hungry for the rest of the days until another election day |

brain54:I respectfully disagree with yet again this assertions! In Nigeria where we have failed or failing institutions,Opposition figures and parties are just vehicles..it's the citizens that determine who leads them. The citizens are the ones that should be trying to determine the outcome of any amendment or policies of the government not opposition politicians who have no permanent friend or enemy! Let me give you a simple instance,October 2020 when the youths came out to protest endsars, was there a single politician in their midst? Even Sowore that has been doing this protest like forever only came later on but was chased out as the protesters didn't want the protest to become a political rally! Do you remember Arab springs or the Nepal or Bangladesh protest? The citizens esp the youths of those countries led the protest without politicians which forced the ruling party to either honorably resign or run for their safety! When the citizens of Nigeria are collectively ready to take back their country from their oppressors, they won't need a political messiah to lead from the front! |

bentenny:I do not dispute your assertion that citizens have a role to play... The bulk of the matter perhaps falls on their laps or perhaps thumbs if I should put it literally through the ballot system. Opposition as I said earlier also has a significant role to play. A country without a formidable opposition to put government on their toes and scrutinize their policies is headed towards a one party State and dangerous to democracy. Do not overlook or underate the value of a good opposition. One of the major problem we have in Nigeria today is the absence of a formidable opposition in the last two governments. The cracks in this present one is clearly more visible as a result. The citizens cannot determine the outcome or amendments of policies as you have said. No... they can't influence policies directly. But the opposition can through their membership and participation in parliament. They can also shape public opinion which can determine the outcome of an election. The major power citizens have is through their power to vote in or vote out under performing governments... not to directly participate in policy making. You mentioned protest... protest is a tool of last resort. It is chaotic and can become a problem if not properly planned, managed and executed. In summary the citizens can be ready. But without credible and worthy opposition just as is the case now then their hands remain tied. Who do they pick from? You can't remove frying pan and put the food directly on fire. They has to be clear choices in opposition. If they is no one to replace the status quo with then they is a problem. In the end opposition role is important. Just as citizens role. Everything works together to make democracy that we practice rounded and what it is in our country. Do not underestimate the power of any them! |
