The followers believe western education should be abolished, and any where it's been practiced should be destroyed. They believe that woman should be enslaved cos they were created for enjoyment of men. You should also understand how appropriate or not the Taliban mixing elements of Deobandi with Pashtuwali; a tribal system.

That's a new dimension you are shifting this discussion. Pashtuwali is a code of honour, revenge and hospitality practiced by the Pashtun community in Afghanistan. That code came into existence even before islam came to existence. Pashtuwali is pre-Islam code of the Pashtun and it's has been mixed up or corrupted with Shari'a law or better said, Pashtuwali law or doctrine corrupted Shari'a law. I personally think that so many of us misunderstood Shari'a practice in Afghanistan in the light of the pashtuwali doctrine......now let me ask you this question: Between Shari'a law and Pashtuwali doctrine, which one do you think is more humane?

This is wrong ….deut 22v25 clearly says the man that rape the a woman shall be out to death……and the woman did nothing wrong and should not be punished ..

I like the way you've actually proven my point more thoroughly than I did. Pashtunwali predating Islam and corrupting Sharia rather than the other way around is exactly why blaming Islam alone for Afghanistan is intellectually lazy.

On your question, Sharia in classical scholarship has clear protections for life, property and dignity. Pashtunwali's honour-revenge cycle has no such ceiling. Badal, the obligation of revenge, can run through generations with no mechanism for closure.

Sharia has jurisprudence. Pashtunwali has pride. Those aren't equal frameworks.

Thanks bro for the intellectual discussion. You have made me to have another disposition towards Shari'a practice in Afghanistan. Atimes and most often, we judge situation base on our short sightedness. If actually people can go out of their comfort zone and take the risk of finding out things, making research and getting to answer that questions of why are they like that? Who are they? How did they start behaving in such a way. I think, we would all be friends more than foes. There wouldn't be much reasons hating on someone, some people from generation to generation. Thanks 🙏 🙏
