A young lady has taken to social media to express shock after learning that kidnappers in Ekiti State are now allegedly demanding female virgins as ransom.

In the viral video, she questioned, “Whose daughter do you people plan to deliver to them? Since you people like negotiating with terrorists and kidnappers.”

She explained that some kidnappers in Ekiti recently abducted a victim who tragically died from sexual assault. When the victim’s family demanded the release of her body, the kidnappers allegedly asked for ransom, which included money and other items. Shockingly, four men sent to deliver the ransom were also kidnapped, and the criminals have now reportedly demanded female virgins for their release.

The video has sparked widespread reactions online. Many accused the current APC-led government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being nonchalant, prioritizing the 2027 elections over the safety of citizens. Some people also expressed surprise that such a shocking story has not received coverage from mainstream media.

Many fear that with kidnappers now demanding virgins as ransom, the situation could escalate further, especially given past accusations of government negotiations with bandits and kidnappers — claims the government has repeatedly denied.
