So a friend of mines father was kidnapped and apparently murdered after ransom was paid. The police was contacted and they insisted on "no payment until we hear from the victim (proof of life)". But my friends mom Cried all day n night for my friend n his siblings to come up with the money and pay so her husband can be safely returned. After the payment, they directed us to where the corpse was already swollen and smelly for days. The family is completely devastated and the mom is currently in coma from the shock. All the phone numbers they contacted them with has all been disconnected except 1 that belongs to one of the culprits wife. We have lodged a case with the police but before we could get a freezing order for the bank account, the money has already been withdrawn. Apparently they may never use that account again. We hired a tracker to track this current number that's still connecting but the range he is giving is so broad and unrealistic. Imagine a tracker saying that this user is in Oshodi. How you wan take catch this person for somewhere wey big like Oshodi? Please guys, help this family. If it's a security agency you would recommend or a formula to catch this last sim that's still connecting so we don't screw things up Please help |

The process is hard cause you will need a court order for them to track from the network provider..Which account was the money paid to and where was the money withdrawn made? |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by Nobody: 8:46pm On Feb 27 |
Drop the number and the account details maybe someone can track them from there. Your write up doesn’t possess enough information for detailed tracking. |

Initially when the kidnappers were calling, the number they used in calling, we ran a CDR (the tracker guy helped us with it) and we saw the call logs of the kidnappers and we could establish a familiar contact (one worker that worked with the victims family). Fast forward to when ransom was paid, we have friends across banks that tracked the money along side police assistance and we saw that 80% of this money landed in the coffers of this same suspect. Now, it's only my friend's dad that knew the address of this suspect (confirmed). And he died with that information. The police are only waiting for when this suspect shows up at the bank to complain about the empty frozen account which I doubt they would ever do. And right now, I just feel somewhere in my heart that we can track this woman's number (the suspect's wife) which is still connecting. We have run a scan of the NIN, address is showing Enonyi... And the so called bank account was Opened in Gombe And this incident happened in Ekiti. So you see the chaos! That's why I'm keen on the address the sim card makes or receive calls from may help |

I just need to know if there's anything like "precision tracking" Or what you guys can recommend to use to track this last lifeline left for us So we don't screw things up completely |

couragekebs:Go to DSS, MTN, AIRTEL etc depending on the operator of the suspect. Through that you can get an headstart |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by couragekebs(op): 10:42pm On Feb 27 |
Akinfemmy:I would really love any clue on how to do it or get across to him |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by couragekebs(op): 10:45pm On Feb 27 |
ayoncox:We've filed an official complaint The DSS office in Warri, they assured us that they would get them that's it's only gonna take time while making references to cases that they started in far back 2020/2022, that they just got the suspect's now.. Bro! 4 years? that's a f*cking long time to wait. And the police are just waiting for them to walk into the bank. And I'm like "is that all you guys can do"? And them say no be me go teach them their job. I just wish there would just be a form of justice to help give the family some sort of closure how they feel... |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by We4all: 11:51pm On Feb 27 |
If the call logs points to an employee of the victim, then someone other than the late victim should have an idea of where he lives. Ask co-workers, dig up his NIN, bank profile etc. I'm curious, is the employee currently on the run? The late victim must have locked face with him, reason he was killed. This is so pathetic! |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by couragekebs(op): 12:01am On Feb 28*. Modified: 7:15am On Feb 28 |
We4all:Your assumptions are same as ours He was just a hardworking greedy young man, recruited for a one day job, he seemed to be a master of everything, so his job extended beyond one day and he joined others on site... He's a far Notherner. He uses his wife's bank account for payment and mostly received cash. So from the wife's acct, we were able to get her NIN as well as the phone registered to the account. That's what we are currently tracking. The victim is currently on the run. His numbers are OFF and disconnected. And we are subtly following up the wife. The late victims phone is nowhere to be found So any info disappeared with the phone and with the deceased. |

This is so sad, may his soul rest in peace 😢 😢 Why do I have a feeling someone close to the family is responsible or involved in this, don't let any o called tracker swindle monies from the family again on the pretext of tracking the phone number. Kidnapping cases are quite tricky to track or unravel especially those with internal connivance because every step you take they're aware of. Best bet remains the government agencies although it takes a long time for positive outcome ![]() |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by couragekebs(op): 6:30am On Feb 28 |
gulfer:You are right. We have a prime suspect which was a worker in the family like I earlier mentioned. Quite humble and very hardworking, not knowing it was pretense and he disappeared after he struck... The trackers/police have taken over a million naira from us in bits tracking, getting court papers, mobilizing and every form of unreproductive venture. It's sad to see a happy family broken and really devastated |

You are not supposed to be disclosing ur moves here, what if the culprit is a member of nairaland? Besides, dont be in a hurry, it is a gradual process but i can assure you dat he will be apprehended. |

couragekebs:Damn! Imagine being recruited for a day's job that extends beyond only to kill your helper. Some people sha...I hope you guys are able to arrest the wife before she goes into hiding. If not for bureaucracy and police incompetence, tracking the wife's live location would have been a walk in the park. |

Samade7:That kind of a person no fit dey nairaland bros. |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by telim: 9:14am On Feb 28 |
couragekebs:Please avoid sharing the phone number you have with anyone here. There is a risk that someone might leak the information to individuals connected to the kidnappers in exchange for money. In situations like this, people here are unlikely to be more effective than official security agencies such as the DSS, Police and Civil Defence. If you are a Christian or Muslim, consider informing a trusted senior church pastor or a respected imam. You may also involve the Magaji in your area and some respected elders in your family. After that, take all the evidence you have with the above people and go directly to the Commissioner of Police. Explain the situation clearly with the contacts you have. The anti-kidnapping unit of the police can take action quickly once they have proper information. You should also be prepared for possible expenses related to mobilization to different states to issue arrest and processes such as checking call records. If the commissioner is interested in the case the head of the anti kidnaping squad will act fast. |

Anyone asking U for more than 25 or 30k for tracking is a thief..... Let me break it down for u how tracking is done.. If U have the person's number that is going, even if it's not going as long as the SIM is still in a phone... The Nigerian police especially at the force headquarters charges between 15-30k depending how U came, if someone directed U to the person doing the analysis the person will be settled.... The first thing they do is to process the tracking analysis, from the tracking analysis U will see the prime target, his location, his calls even text messages.... Then U will also see the soft targets, those he's in constant communications with, Their names, phone numbers and locations... And U don't go after the prime suspect, because if U lose him, or if he finds out that he's being tracked, that's the end ... So U go after the softs targets, once U get any of them which is usually very easy, then within few days U will get the prime suspect... Here is where money now comes in, from the analysis, the person might be in Adamawa while U are in Abuja... So U will have to mobilize police officers, pay for Their transportation, hotel and feeding for at least 2-3 days.... Anyone asking U to pay 100s of thousands without showing u all these details is a thief. |

If you could go on foreign sites that includes other foreign like a dark web of sorts .. You'd get that precision tracking unlike the one you'd get down here .. . There are a lot of them in such forums or site.. |
| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by couragekebs(op): 11:32am On Feb 28 |
dapotemi:I've reached out to him It's still the same CDR (WIDE RANGE LOCATION, No precision sadly) |

| Re: Please Help Me Track This K*illers by couragekebs(op): 11:35am On Feb 28 |
Precious201010:Bro, we are exhausted already We know those people he is constantly in talks with But the police says if we go after them, the prime suspect would know and further escape and be completely off grid. I'm literally confused as to what to do right now |
