1. The act of sending angels to gather people from earth to heaven below

And he shall send his angels[)b] with a great sound of a trumpet, and [b]they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

2. The act of catching people up from the earth to the heaven to be with the Lord below

1 Thessalonians 4:17 KJV
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I know there are many intelligent people on this platform that are following and they can see the truth straight away

Going by the definition of that word "RAPTURE"
What the Bible described here totally differs because those to be taken knew and are expecting it unlike RAPISTS who takes their victims unexpectedly.
Moreover those to be taken are happy to go with the one who wants them their unlike victims of RAPISTS who are devastated.
Lastly those to be taken are not alive but dead in their graves so they won't even know what is happening to them! 1Thessalonians 4:16-17

So it would have been better and nicer to use any other word that befits that event not RAPTURE!🤔

the scripture you quoted above is posted below. Did it match with your assertion above that only dead will be taken. The actual scripture says the deaf will rise while the people alive will be [b]caught up

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The scriptures said anyone to be taken must be dead first just as Jesus died!

So it is with the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised up in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised up in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised up in power. It is sown a physical body; it is raised up a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one. 1Corinthans 15:42-44

Whoever is going with Jesus must first drop the physical body before they are raised in the spiritual body!
