I was not sleeping. I was skin close to them but separated by a tinted glass that will make you strain your eyes so well to see if anyone's at the other side.
My supervisor and my colleague assassinated my character without seeking the truth. I came out of the room without saying a word to let them realize that I was indoor while they were discussing. We are still connected till date though. I kept them closer.

Oh I have an experience that happened in Ile-ife, my roommates and I stayed off campus then in Varsity hostel parakin we were 2 Yoruba guys and one igbo boy.......I was asleep on that fateful day but very conscious when I heard it clearly my fellow tribesman said to the igbo that does he know if the 3 of us were to go to babalawo for money ritual and they asked that one of us should be killed, he said and I quote "shey you know say na Wale we go sacrifice".

Omo the fear that went through my body that day I will never forget, the igbo guy froze also he could not talk again.
Immediately after that semester 2 of us left him sharp sharp, cos he said that thing some days before vacation, the igbo guy came to tell me straight up he said brother when we resume we have to find another place to stay but he didn't say the reason. Whenever he calls me brother I know it's something serious.....he gave a flimsy excuse but I already knew why we had to move so i just agreed.

That useless ritualist even messaged me during holiday that he has decided to send our roommate away but me I can come and still stay and he will reduce the amount I pay (he paid more than half of our rent then) 150k he paid 100k for 2 years so it was like his selfcon amd we were squatting with him.

I japa with speed, we later got to know that same guy Akin had started buying human parts from a cadava lab in Ife and his matter casted in the lodge.

That my igbo friend God bless him wherever he is we didn't have much, ah!! We suffer no be small, but we trusted each other to the bone.
We had many experiences we would never forget right from the days of PD.
Loyalty is a rare thing in this our bloodthirsty country.

Now I have zero trust for anybody only my family.

In the late 80s, in my village, I was only around 7 or 8 years old. There was a man who was the fiancé of my cousin. He came to visit my cousin’s parents from a nearby town in the same state. Because of space constraints, I was asked to sleep in the same room as my cousin and her husband-to-be. I slept at the edge of the bed, close to the wall, while my cousin slept beside me. The man, who was not yet married to her at the time, slept on a mattress on the floor.

In the middle of the night, the man got up from his mattress and came to where my cousin and I were sleeping and tried all possible means to engage her in intimacy. At one point, it became very rough. While I pretended to be asleep, I watched the whole incident unfold. I remember my cousin telling him that he was disturbing the little boy who was sleeping and that she would report him to her father, as he had been warned to wait until marriage.

I will never forget that experience.

There was a big standing mirror in my friend's room which I guess his sister normally used.
She came in tying only towel, I pretended to still be in deep sleep but opening my eyes a bit. She removed her towel and was totally stark naked. Looking into the mirror, she muttered to herself "Onome, shey na dis fine body and shape only one person go dey chop, abegi."
Since that day, I had a different perspective about women

I overheard that twice while sleeping when they were discussing and they were reminding themselves of taking some pills regularly and she said to the other, "We should be careful not to get pregnant". And right after the second time, I got up and I said "You don't wanna be pregnant but you're both married to them and promising them kids?

Don't say so pls, you owe people gratitude and everything. If you fall sick today (God forbids) and you are diagnosed with a very serious ailments like cancer, kidney failure etc. Can you take Care of yourself all alone? If you die today now (God forbids again) would you bury yourself ? Pay for mortuary fee, funeral, food etc all while you are dead or would you prefer to be left rotten?. Another example, you decide to start a family today and unfortunately both you and you spouse are dead leaving your very young children all by themselves, can they feed, cloth, shelter themselves and provide education for themselves till their adulthood? please read your bible more and about compassion. I have been a victim of this backbiting and gossip thing and I know what it feels like and what people passes through. But God blesses the hands that help generously.

My first night NYSC camp. couldnt find my bed and had to squat at random half occupied dormitary. I was pretending to be sleeping when I over heard some men chater in pidgin I couldnt decern at all. I was a heavy smoker back then. I had gone to HK in Kwara State, but things didn't favor me at all. Between the hunger and the hardship, I became very thin and unhealthy. Eventually, I left and headed East.
I called my 'day one' friend, Onochie, who had recently returned from Cyprus with some money—he even bought a GLK during that 2022–2023 period. I told him I needed to stay at his place for a while before heading back to my father's house.
The morning after I arrived, his younger brother—who was also my homie—brought me 10k and said Onochie sent it. When I asked where Onochie was, he told me he’d already left for Abuja to book a flight back to Cyprus. I was so disappointed that he didn't even mention he was leaving.
I stayed back with his brothers for a few days, hustling just to feed myself. Then one morning, the younger brother told me they were packing out immediately because the landlord gave them a quit notice, and I had to find my way. I was in a bad place—my physical appearance was messed up, and I just wanted a place to stay, hustle, and get healthy again before going back to my hood.

Mine was the fiancée to the man who was sponsoring my tertiary education telling him to stop paying my fees and any other assistance. I overhead them discussing it while I just returned from school that I was supposed to be facing life all by myself. Since that day, the man stop giving me tp fare to school, he stopped giving me food and didnt let me work again at where I usually work for him and at the end of the semester, (as he usually pay semester by semester instead of the full year) he told me he cannot afford my education again I should look for way to sponsor myself. Mind you, I had no one as my parents were late, we were related and he was my only hope for life. He recruited some boys to work for him in my stead but the boys stoled all his money including loans he would take and closed him down in less than a year ( they were living better lives then, renting apartments, buying iPhones, something I dare not try in my life). I couldn't cope with school so I dropped out even tho I had good grades. I continue living there and started livestock business with a little money I had, this fiancée still set up me up, arrested me that I was using her fiance space and I end up loosing everything. A good person actually took me in to work for her and support her family and I was feeding better and also earn a little money. I am grateful today that even tho I am not where I should but atleast am doing better and not in grieve. She still pretends her fake love (not knowing I overhead everything) and I don't greet her to her face, I don't attend any of her ceremony. Even family members suspect her foul play. in my head am thinking won't this one have children tomorrow and won't her children run to me tomorrow for help??
