Go and teach in a secondary school for 3 months and you will realize that students of these days are very saucy and ill-mannered

This is unacceptable. It's not good at all. But to clarify a misconception here, Command Secondary School is at Ipaja and not at Iyana Ipaja. These 2 areas are different. They are almost 20/30 minutes drive apart from each other, depends on traffic. Iyana Ipaja is the junction that leads to Ipaja town.

You wey dey talk, if your eye dey scratch you, you dey peel am commot?

Your statement is justifying brutality

Is brutality the only form of discipline?
Must it be that it create trauma?

The man went too far. Maybe he tried dating her and she didn’t accept because the beating went overboard.

The Army will do everything to kill the case. I trust VDM and Sowore, the matter must catch 🔥 fire 🥵.

I thought corporal punishment in schools was banned in Lagos state?

Infact teachers/school authorities should run under psychological tests before using the cane.
Re: MaryJane Okonkwo, Command Secondary School Iyana Ipaja Student Beaten By Bursar by Asmanthinket: 7:45pm On Mar 05
In as much as I condemn the beating, it is also very important to ask for what the girl did that made her to be beaten that way. Children of these days are very terrible. They are so indisciplined that they can confront both their teachers and parents with dangerous weapons. Imagine that some of them are cultists

I think students should be included in that psychology test because some children are demons and bandits taking children forms

No matter how unruly a student is, a teacher shouldn't flog them like that.

A school is a place of learning not a correction center.

That's why some schools just expel students that prove too stubborn or 'demonic'.

Under my watch no such act will be left
We want a democratic rule of govt and society but we shun the principles of been mindful of hurting , inflicting pain on humans and call it discipline. If you find this act good then you are among the problems of the nation.

Concerned individuals are calling for urgent intervention following allegations that an SS3 student, Maryiane Okonkwo, was brutally beaten by a school bursar identified as Farouk Ohieari at Command Secondary School, Iyana Ipaja.

According to reports circulating online, the student was allegedly assaulted on school premises. It is further claimed that the school has refused to release her to her mother for proper medical treatment, allegedly out of concern that the incident could become public.

There are also allegations that authorities may be considering quietly transferring the bursar rather than pursuing accountability.
Sources claim this may not be the first time such an incident has occurred, but that some parents have remained silent due to the school’s military affiliation.

Oh my days in command . This new generation is just built differently . Is the caning excessive ? Personally I think so considering the times . These kids are so fragile. Make you no go pai person pikin
However I believe there is a point where caning must seriously be on the table for a child regardless of gender . If you don’t as a parent , the government or society will take that child from you when he/she turns into an adult . Either jailed or executed.
Re: MaryJane Okonkwo, Command Secondary School Iyana Ipaja Student Beaten By Bursar by Focusmind: 7:59pm On Mar 05
Sadists everywhere. Imagine the joy in him as he was flogging the girl. The man no rate her parents. That's why. He should be fished out and banned from school environment. That's how child abusers are punished abroad. He shouldn't go near school or seen near children and adolescents.

Then please do not send your kids to any military school . Command , Airforce or Navy . Those schools are lowkey paramilitary in nature. They do not shy from caning any erring child. “Discipline is their watchword” ….it was literally in our school anthem .

I blame the parents who send their kids there, knowing their reputation for such acts of brutal discipline.

This is my alma mater, and this occured regularly only difference was that it was the students(prefects) doing the beatings and some soldiers as well. By the way it's C.S.S.l Ipaja and not iyana-ipaja.

Please OP and moderators of this website, do well to censor those images. Exposing a girl child online in such manner may be considered offensive by some persons, and is actually psychologically disturbing for sensitive people. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

I finished from a command school
In simple terms, if you don't want your child to be disciplined. Don't send your ward to a command school

Most a times those in charge of expelling such children don't take such action because they are not directly affected by the action of such child until the the child action affects the whole school, then it might have caused harm to them or people around them or gotten someone else into trouble just like this one because this kind of beating was not done with clear eye, I agreed with you that the beating was too much, on the other hand the kind of children we have nowadays are not helping matters.

This is why it’s good to have some money because if you do have money nobody will treat your child this way

Poor man pikin must suffer. Rich man pikin rides on the back of a white horse. The Nigeria traditional way of training the children of the struggling is with wickedness, using the rod in the most wicked way. A teacher flog my friend 2004 just for failing chemistry out of shared wick3dness he missed and flog his eye. Today my friens still uses glasses he could bearly see verywell during in day time. Parent then will one receive apology and let the nonsense slide.
