Considering the way both Yoruba and Hausa have been promoting their language, in the case of the Igbo's, they are turning back from their own language.

Reasonable number of Igbo's born outside South East can't speak fluent Igbo

Google recognizes majority languages and minority languages. They won't waste their data and effort on minority languages.

But if you curse and insult at the drop of a hat it affects the qualitative beauty of that language and introduces more new vulgar hostile words and phrases.

I believed if you are from another tribe living in south west you wil have igbos as friends or neighbour from observation do they speak there language for others to know or they speak igbo when they dont want you stranger among them to hear what they are saying

i grew up in a place that had igbos all around, i even dated igbo gurls not two .. Still on still i cant speak igbo shi shi 🤣

if folake4u like let are move in with pocohantas, 2yrs after she wont know a thing, because poco nd there husband will only speak igbo when they want to leave folake out of the conservation 🤣

When vanessa was stayin with me, anytime her family called, if i am around naa igbo dem go talk all thru buh she can speak yoruba nd even translate 😄

IGbos deliberately want there language classified to serve as leverage over intruders

UNESCO predicted that the Igbo language will go extinct in 50 years and the way it's going, it will be earlier than that.

Why should AI resources be wasted on a minority language about to go extinct?

The language is dying.

Igbo Language is going nowhere.
Ndigbo do not really want our language to be declassified for many important reasons.
Make e remain amongst us.
AI and Google won't do much for our language except expose it to stuff we do not want
