You went straight to Minnesota, but have totally avoided the fact that millions of Americans across the country are now paying through their noses for health premiums. Whilst war mongering is ongoing that benefits not one poor American.

Allow the investigations for Minnesota to be completed, so that we can have a concrete grasp on how much fraud we are talking about. And then a spend comparison can be made. But I will tell you, with the cost trend of $1billion per day to wage war with Iran, I doubt what ever fraud you think has happened in Minnesota can be compared to it.

But know this. No monies spent on the welfare of citizens is ever enough. If a country can’t take care of its own people (that pay taxes), but focus on fighting needless wars, then that country’s leadership needs to be questioned.

I am saying how government actually work. One is based on realism, the other is based on perception.

The world is not governed by morality or goodwill.
States must prepare for threats regardless of what you think people should do.

Yes Government should prioritize welfare but the problem is: welfare programs depend on security and stability.
Without thst - infrastructure gets destroyed
economic activity collapses
tax revenue disappears, etc.

After Russian invasion of Ukraine, they had to divert huge resources to defense because survival became the priority.
Countries without effective security like Somalia during state collapse cannot maintain functioning healthcare or education systems.

So there is a sequence - Security > economic stability > tax revenue > welfare programs

Many countries that spend less on defense can do so because someone else provides security.

I was complaining about the UK which refused to send their ships to protect their own people. They said americans already have ships there.

So the welfare you see in the UK and Europe is because of American spending for security, which acts as a deterrent that shields Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, to all the NATO countries.

So countries with strong welfare systems sometimes benefit from another country’s military spending which creast the free-rider problem; enjoying security while someone else pays for it.

Israel had to spend or defence or they die.
