Bro, this is 2026. There are several short Youtube videos where you can learn basics of statistics (mean, median, mode) including elementary mathematics like "Average".
That is the problem with the Negro.
He has zero horizontal relationships.
He cannot relate to others to the left or to the right, in front of at his back. His world centres around himself.

He has great vertical relationships, to his God, to his boss, to his father, he can worship those and those beneath him, his family and a few crumb seekers at his gates.

But to his fellow citizen, zero.
It is not a criticism, it is our stark nature.
The 'as long as it doesn't affect me' syndrome.
The 'government property no be anybody property'
The type open defecation that helped the Soviets crush the German Army in Stalingrad.

Now, this one.
Someone said today that there is no power problem because he gets 18 to 24 hours. That was his conclusion. So the authorities are on track. It is our way of life. Unfortunately reality and statistics don't work that way.

Not surprised too much of hardship in that Godforsaken country called Nigeria
Nigeria is not a godforsaken country, you are the one that needs to change your mindset towards the country. If you refers to our wicked and greedy politician and leaders as godforsaken, you can be very correct.

Nigeria as a country remain one of the greatest country in the world. Take from our weather, it's so friendly that , heat is not too much , coldness is not too much. We have abundantly rich soil that grow anything. Tell me the kind of resources we don't have in this country? Gold , diamond, crude oil ,gas. We have sea with unlimited blessings,We have them all.

As they say " whatever you curse , cannot bless you" You all can do better by stop speaking ill of the country.

The problem with most of you Nigerians is that y'all don't understand topics of discussion before you start commenting. Generally, comprehension is a problem for Nigerian youth..

Go online and study statistics (mean, median and mode), only then you would understand what an average means.

To point you in the right direction, let's say 5000, people died in Nigeria last year and this year. Now among those 5000 people, you would find that not up to 500 that were up to 80 years.

Note, when we talking about life expectancy, it includes all types and causes of death, ranging from kidnapping, gun violence, herdsmen, bandits, accidents, terrorist attacks, diseases, natural death etc.

The question you should ask yourself is, in Nigeria today which age range does death occurs mostly between people 54 years and younger and people 54 years and older. If you can answer this question sincerely, then you will realize that the statistics is spot on.

Bro I swear.. I once told them here that homeless people in most western countries eat well and better than many Nigerians and they thought I was joking. Most people in Nigeria now can't even buy meat of fish to cook good food..

Congratulations on becoming a nurse. I'm still new in the US and I plan on going the nurse part even though I have no prior experience.. some travel nurses get paid as high as $50/hr in US.

I know most people will not understand this life expectancy data.

It does not mean most Nigerians will die at 54.

it just mean some will die before 54, some around that age, and some will reach old age.

Life expectancy is just an average.
/
Wrong!

Life expectancy at 54 means that if you ever see 54, na alleluia! If you pass 54, na Thanksgiving time because na miracle. It is not average number. They expect an average Nigerian to kpai on or before 54. Have you seen Obituary posters lately. All na Gone Too Soon.

Africa is being poisoned openly and covertly, it is not an accident that bottom 20 countries with lowest life expectancy are all African. In fact to hide how we are dying off these figures have been manipulated to make African life expectancy to appear higher than they really are.
I believe the real life expectancy for Nigeria is 35
