Nomyth:This man gave us Enyeama,Utaka and Osaze. He took these young and inexperienced players, plus few others, Femi Opapumi,Justice Christopher and Ogbeche the bicycle kick crooner to world cup after the Oliseh led team was disbanded. Though the team did not do well at the world cup, but 10 years later,Enyeama led the Super Eagles to AFCON victory. Festus Onigbinde, the Modakeke high chief, may your soul rest in peace. |

Napoleon55:He also got to the finals of the AFCON in 1984 and lost to the brilliance of one of Cameroon's GOAT Theophile Abega. The 84 team was rebuilt from the disastrous 82 AFCON showing. The team too had very young players like the late Stephen Keshi, Peter Rufai, Rashidi Yekini, ademola adeshina, yisa sofoluwe. Sunday eboigbe, James etokebe, tarila okorowanta etc. May his soul RIP. |

21 y/o Former Flying Eagles Striker, Ahmed Abdullahi scored a brace today for Sunderland U21 in their 5-2 win vs Leeds U21 in PL 2. He was on the bench for Sunderland's senior side in the FA Cup loss to Port Vale. 21 y/o CM, Adam Yakubu made his league debut for LNZ Cherkasy off the bench in their 3-0 win away at Veres Rivne in the Ukrainian Topflight. Fisayo Dele Bashiru played all 90mins and produced an accurate 100% passing masterclass in Lazio's 2-1 win vs Sassuolo in Serie A. 45 passes attempted, 45 passes completed. Onuachu on 20 goals in the Super Lig already in just 22 games. Man's just making sport of every spor. |

The NFF raised a critical issue in their petition, questioning how DR Congo could call up players who had not yet been cleared by FIFA to participate in the World Cup qualifying matches. This raises serious concerns and could potentially constitute a significant breach of regulations. First, how can a national team call up players who had not been officially cleared by FIFA at the time of their selection? Some of the players reportedly included in the squad list submitted on November 1st only received FIFA clearance just a day before the World Cup qualifying tournament began on November 16th. This timing raises questions about whether due process was followed when the squad was initially submitted. Secondly, why was FECOFA so confident that the players who had not yet been cleared at the time of the call-up would eventually receive FIFA approval? Such confidence suggests that the federation may have anticipated or assumed clearance before it was formally granted, which undermines the integrity of the eligibility verification process. These concerns deserve thorough scrutiny. If proven, the implications could extend beyond the current dispute involving Nigeria and potentially reveal a broader issue regarding compliance with FIFA’s player eligibility and clearance procedures. |
