He also got to the finals of the AFCON in 1984 and lost to the brilliance of one of Cameroon's GOAT Theophile Abega. The 84 team was rebuilt from the disastrous 82 AFCON showing. The team too had very young players like the late Stephen Keshi, Peter Rufai, Rashidi Yekini, ademola adeshina, yisa sofoluwe. Sunday eboigbe, James etokebe, tarila okorowanta etc. May his soul RIP.
