It's a challenging period for us as a Party, it's also a challenging period for democracy in Nigeria. I have been talking to people of knowledge, people who have been involved in the political evolution of this country and none of them has witnessed a political landscape that is close to what we are witnessing today.

I can only say on behalf of all....okay, we are only two Governors remaining (gestures to Governor Bala Mohammed), but we are not bothered. I can say personally and on behalf of my Chairman (Bauchi State Governor) that when the story of this period is told, when the story of democracy in Nigeria is told, they will find us on the side of the people. So please, I can only say that this period will also go away, it will also pass away so whatever roles we want to play as individuals and collectively as a Party, we must be conscious of what history is going to record against or for us in this period.

Nyesom Wike the drûn.kárd is doing exactly what he vowed to do, hold the PDP down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This man finally buried the PDP before heading to ADC. On which platform will his candidate contest? Even, in ADC, he is going to be a newcomer and unless he opens the state vault for Atiku, nothing for him. He is an amateur in politics just like PO.

The issue isn’t whether PDP has internal problems. The issue is weaponizing the judiciary and state apparatus through Wike to cripple a major opposition party.

Today it’s PDP; tomorrow it will be any other opposition that stands in the way. That’s not democracy, that’s how countries end up with Paul Biya–style longevity in power.

History is watching, even if you and other of his supporters pretend not to see it today.

I think Tinubu deserves GWR for being the only president that was able to decimate and destroy all opposition parties in a country. Trump needs to come learn from him. I don’t blame Tinubu because if he hasn’t done that, he might loose re-election woefully. The only thing that can make him soft pedal on this would be if all opposition parties sign that they won’t contest against him

Your constitution clearly stated that you must conduct state congress before conducting a national convention. You failed to do that and went ahead to conduct a convention in violation of the party’s constitution. Sule Lamido, a founding member of your party declared interest in contesting for the party’s national chairman, you deliberately refused to sell the nomination form to him. Two different courts looked at all these anomalies and ordered you not to go ahead with the convention but you choose not to respect the orders of the court.

You don’t go rousing the hornets nest only to turn around to complain that you got stung!. In politics as in life you choose your battles wisely. Your political conduct in the past few weeks has greatly taken away from the political goodwill your image has gained through the years. It is amazing how political immature you are! Difficult to believe that a Gov. Seyi Makinde will use the Judiciary wrongly to push a political agenda in a manner so brazen to the point that a Hon Justice lent him the Gavel in a matter the Judge in his heart of heart knows he lacks jurisdiction to entertain. That Judge will someday have God to account to and contend with!

Just make sure there is an alternative to this government, that's all.

It is up to Nigerians to decide whether it is safe to place all their eggs in one basket.

If the best democracies in the world are contests between candidates standing under multiple parties, I cannot see the successful example we are copying.

I depend on multiple banks, telecom providers, power providers, etc. Why should I depend solely on the one thing that can make or mar my experience as a citizen of this country even if it was performing exceptionally well. Is it?....
