Anambra Nursing Students Protest Hike In Fees From ₦90,000 To ₦580,000 (Video) by Prestar(op): 8:58pm On Mar 10

Students of the College of Nursing at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi staged a protest today, March 10, in response to a sharp increase in their tuition fees.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the aggrieved students could be seen carrying placards to express their dissatisfaction with the hike.

One of the placards reads ‘’From N90, 000 to N580, 000. Very bad.''

They were also seen chanting songs like “We no go gree, reduce the school fees, we no go gree,” while marching and displaying placards.

The College of Nursing is affiliated with Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, one of the major tertiary healthcare institutions in Anambra State.

The school authority is yet to react to this development.

Nigeria can't educate you almost for free and immediately you graduate, you will travel abroad to go and use the education you got almost for free in Nigeria (with Nigerians tax payers money) to benefit other countries and even start calling Nigeria all sort of derogatory names.

Modified: Whether it's state owned or federal, you can't tell me that the board of the college, the state board, the state government are not aware of the ridiculous percentage increase. Make una stop giving filmsy excuse of it's federal college. That's not the only federal college we have in Nigeria
