“She ignored my greeting after i bought pure water elsewhere” — Lady shares experience

A lady on X, identified as Ebun, has shared a story about a small pricing discovery that unexpectedly strained her relationship with a neighborhood shop owner.

According to her, she usually buys 10 bags of pure water every month from a woman whose shop is close to her compound.

However, during a recent visit, she met a supplier delivering bags of water to the shop and decided to ask one of the delivery boys how much they sold each bag.

The boy told her the wholesale price was ₦350 per bag, while the shop owner sells it for ₦500.

She said she didn’t confront the woman but quietly bought something else and left.

Later that evening, she visited another shop directly opposite the first woman’s store and asked the price of a bag of pure water.

“₦400,” [/b]the second shop owner replied.

She immediately bought 10 bags, and the sales boys helped carry them to her house, passing right in front of the first woman’s shop.

The next morning, she greeted the woman as usual, but the shop owner reportedly did not respond, leaving her to assume the woman noticed she had taken her business elsewhere.

Well, lf you greet her, she heard you and refused to respond, that one na her own cup of tea. You've played your part.

I no feet see where to buy things cheap and still decide to go buy expensive ones with same quality.

I can patronize you today and tomorrow I patronize someone else, I don't get too familiar with people.

Same thing happened to me, This woman normally sells 1 bag for 500 for me,
so, one day I was there to buy from her and I met one man there asking her for price of one bag she was telling the man quietly 400 she doesn't want me to hear and I pretend as if I did not pay attention to what she was telling the man
I bought 2bags and I transferred 800 to her and left in peace no argument.

Same thing happen to me too, but I no kuku send.
I dey buy groundnut from one woman for my street always, like 5 packs for 500 naira or more. My wife self too dey like grand it also. So One hot afternoon, as Lagos sun dey shine, I notice she no get groundnut again, and na that time wey I wan soak better garri with goundnuti. I come tell her, “Madam, you suppose sabi say with this kind sun and heat, chances say person go wan drink garri dey high, and garri dey sweet pass with better roasted groundnut.”

The woman just no send me, because she dey always ignore my advice. Na so I use vex waka go second street buy plenty grandnut, begin dey chop ham pass her shop. She squeeze face, I move on. 😂 She come dey carry face, I just dey laugh, Omo I move oo.

Seller wey cheat you with N100 go still use trick collect your 10million if he/she get the opportunity.

Everybody wants attention.

All these "only me mentality" exhibited by some of these traders can be annoying. No seller can lay exclusive claim to your choice. Abeg leave am make she dey eat herself up. You don't owe her anything.

Una dey buy bag of pure water #500 for this same naija? For Ph na #250 factory price b4 this war, shops were selling #350 or #400. Now factory price is #300 shops are still selling #400
