mrwilliams9:very apt, not someone jumping out to say he's becoming boring to watch. Lookman is never a winger but a SS, the coach had to accommodate him because he already had Greizman and Avarez as his top 2. |

do4luv14:Just be adding it now abeg, because ever since November last year, na so so Congo everybody dey yarn everywhere. The difference is lost on many people now. So it's important to specify which Congo so that people don't start getting the wrong ideas. Some people fit read that thing now dey celebrate about our WC chances, when it has absolutely nothing to do with us. |

Ok, the report I reads did not specify which of the Congo's, that's why I don't specify which one too FiveFootNinja: |

Samueltemi337:Did the coach approach him? He was invited when he was with Crystal Palace but I could remembered the clamoring was from when he was with Readings. After Eze trained with the team. He waited to be called but the National team coach then ignored him until he blow finish. The truth is, those at the realm of affairs of the football in Nigeria, lacks foresight or ability to identify a potential player. |

typicalgamer:Do you mean even when he played for Reading in Championship? Because that was when we dey make noise here for him to be invited to no avail. |

chrisooblog:iraq is in the playoffs. They can decide to pick them and just let drc and Jamaica play one match to decide the winner. They might also still play in the tournament. Infantino just said today that trump is not against iran playing in the world cup so that option is still well open. |

forgiveness:This is the brutal truth, the Nigerian FA have been very poor with recruitment of dual nationals especially those that require clearance and administrative procedures. The last ones we got were Lookman and Torunarigha and they both made their debuts for the SE in 2022 and 2023 respectively. DR Congo we are dragging to court now cleared 5 players within 2 weeks. Since FIFA launched their change of association platform in April 2025, zero eligible players have been cleared by our FA that had previously played for their country of birth at youth level

forgiveness:They are mostly busy collecting salaries without any actual work being done, not just the SE but across all levels. Poor scouting of players both at the local scene and at international level. |

If you are expecting FIFA to decide on Nigeria / Dr Congo 5 days to the play off you will be a joker. Traveling to Mexico requires visa applications and other logistics hence if FIFA wanted to replace Congo Dr they would have done so since . 14 days to qualifiers teams have applied for visas and prepare logistics . NFF gave Nigerians fake false hope |
