There was never such criteria. All pilots must do minimum hours of flights before becoming qualified. So, an unqualified pilot in America is nonsensical.

So even a diversity (DEI) initiative for pilots cannot bypass the qualification criteria for pilots

I am telling you not to rush to judgment in situations like this because many times it is not what is being told.

Only lunatics will think that a pilot will ever be hired with the main consideration being his race, or that any person not FULLY AND ABSOLUTELY QUALIFIED to fly a plane in all respects will ever be hired as a pilot regardless of race.
