In December 2025, Alex Otti said this after meeting Tinubu.... While Kanu is free to appeal his conviction, I’m happy to inform you that I have activated, and will continue to work on the already agreed strategy until his freedom is secured....It's been 4 months since Otti "activated" his secret plot to secure Kanu's release, one would think that by now tangible progress would've been publicized by Alex Otti but since his media briefing last year, nothing seem to have been done by him, any other south east governor or prominent igbo politician to push for Nmamdi Kanu release..... one wonder if Alex Otti was lying to his people, playing politics with Nnamdi Kanu's life. It is glaring that if Kanu was a yoruba or fulani man, he wouldn't face trial not to talk of imprisonment but since he is an igbo man, he deserves no justice as long as one Nigeria is concerned..... I will use to medium to remind all igbo politicians secretly rejoicing over Kanu's unjust continue incarceration that a day of reckoning is coming when they will have no where to hide from the consequences of this injustice. All you igbo politicians conniving with Tinubu and northern fulani power brokers to betray your own people will be making a big mistake to think that the silence of the igbo people is a sign of their foolishness or consent to continue what you are doing, it's not.... Alex Otti, Hope Uzodinma, Charles Soludo, Peter Mbah and Francis Nwifuru don't think your people are foolish, they are watching you closely, as you continue to put your selfish political ambitions over 2027 elections to ensure that Nmamdi Kanu does not get justice. It is not too late to do the right thing and get your acts together because if Nmamdi Kanu dies in prison over your failiure to secure his release, none of you will escape the wrath of your people at the appointed time for failing to rescue Nnamdi Kanu from the evil fangs of Nigeria.... you all if not lynched, will be humiliated and put to total shame not just by your own people but by the same hopelessly corrupt damnable zoological republic you all are shamelessly eager to serve.... There is no peace or progress without justice..... #FreeNnamdiKanu |

What is this one ranting? Only a pardon from the President can save your kanu. That's why your Kanu has refused to file an appeal on his conviction knowing criminal appeals are first come, first serve basis and can take up to a decade to even reach the Appeal court talk more of the Supreme court. Knowing that he stands no chance of being freed by the upper courts and knowing if he appeals , the President can not grant a pardon on a matter already before appeal (See Marriam Sanda as an example), he Kanu has refused to file an appeal and is now only hopping on a presidential pardon that can only be secured at the highest levels of diplomacy and lobbying. |

Kanu go tey for there o. The only person that will grant him immediate pardon is PitObi but he will not be president. No reasonable or responsible government would do that. Even foreign governments will see Nigeria as a joke if they do. Just being honest and realistic. |

@OP. What is your own with this Kanu matter? Are you his brother or relative? He is a terrorist. That is 100% confirmed. Actions have consequences. Stop disturbing Niaraland daily with your tears over Kanu. He did the crime and nust do the time. Nothing you do can change that. |
| Re: Igbo Governors Fake Promises, 4 Months Gone, Nnamdi Kanu Still In Prison by WizardOfNG: 7:40am On Mar 12 |
Kdon2:The guy weeps over Kanu daily. It is now irritating and very disturbing. Kanu is a criminal. Who weeps and rolls around on the floor when criminals are jailed other than their fellow criminals and/or family members? |
| Re: Igbo Governors Fake Promises, 4 Months Gone, Nnamdi Kanu Still In Prison by gidgiddy: 7:42am On Mar 12 |
truthera:Alex Otti gave it his best. Visited Nnamdi Kanu in Sokoto and also visited Tinubu, asking for Nnamdi Kanu's release. The truth remains that the reality of being an Igbo man in Nigeria is very different from the reality of being Husa/Fulani or Yoruba. This time last year, Tinubu released over five thousand Boko haram fighters, but keeps Nnamdi Kanu locked up. Kanu whi has been in DSS solitary confinement for 5 years before this time. But it shall be well

esnbrutality:Lol. Mr.Bigot, this is not an Igbo affair. It is a Nigerian affair about punishment of criminality no one should circumvent if we wish to develop into a sane and progressive nation. Delusional of OP to think SE Governors and leaders can coerce Tinubu to abuse power interfering with the affairs of the judicial arm to set Kanu free considering precedence Finland has set jailing Ekpa. Aren't you ashamed at how OP is making you guys appear lawless? Otti made a promise in December 2025 to put in place a plan to free Kanu and OP is here in March complaining that has not happened? Are you people some sort of macabre joke to think Tinubu will aid your megalomaniac self-delusion? The world, including Trump you worship that Tinubu knows thinks very little of "shithole nation" Nigeria, is watching to note Ekpa, the minion and servant of Kanu, will serve his full 5 years term in prison, after conviction in Finland, for crimes he committed against Nigeria and not Finland. Yet you and the delusional OP expect Tinubu to be part of a plot to free the head of the Snake in less than months from a life sentence for crimes he committed and instructed many to commit against Nigeria? Will that not disgrace Tinubu and Nigeria internationally since the message will be that Finland is more serious about punishment of crimes against Nigeria than Nigeria themselves are? Yes we all know Nigeria is biased and justice can be for sale but how dumb is anyone not to understand the concept that "justice must be seen to be done" when certain cases have gained international dimension and importance? Foot soldier Ekpa serves his full term in Finland prison yet Kingpin Kanu is released from a life sentence within months in Nigeria. Are you all babies in the SE not to understand the negative optics that will create for Nigeria? Make una try to dey engage una brain na. You people should really make more effort to think before you rush to speak. |

gidgiddy:Per the bolded, you need to get the terminology right, he released REPENTANT Boko Haram people, Nnamdi Kanu might want to learn to display that particularly attribute to regain his freedom. Going by what we all saw with our very own eyes when he was in court, I think he has a long way to go. One other thing, if Ohamdike doesn't show repentance now before the North starts their 8 years, he might be dead (while in jail), by the next time a Southern President takes charge. All those visiting him might want to speak some sense (and truth) into him sooner rather than later instead of walking on eggshells around him. |
| Re: Igbo Governors Fake Promises, 4 Months Gone, Nnamdi Kanu Still In Prison by WizardOfNG: 1:26pm On Mar 12 |
O aswani:Even if Kanu shows remorse, he won't be released before Ekpa unless the Government that does that cares more about one man (Kanu) than the international image and reputation of Nigeria. |
| Re: Igbo Governors Fake Promises, 4 Months Gone, Nnamdi Kanu Still In Prison by gidgiddy: 1:28pm On Mar 12 |
aswani:Yeah, its remarkable how considerate how Tinubu can be when it comes to Boko haram, he released five thousand of them because they claimed to be 'repentant' ![]() Now government is handing out peace deals, amnesty, negation and integration to bandits. Yes we are on the right track 😆 🤣 |

When Igboho started his movement for Oduduwa republic and was declared wanted.... it is obvious that you and many other Yoruba apologists didn't condemn him as popular south west politicians, governors and traditional rulers intervened to stop Buhari from further pursuing him, allowing him to conveniently go on exil..... The reason why south east governors have a crucial role to play and will answer in due time over their continued collusion with the federal government to imprison Nnamdi Kanu is because as long as Nigeria is concerned the igbos know they have little or no direct say over national issues except through these governors and their counterparts in the national assembly many of whom unfortunately are sell outs.... As you enjoy the unjust divisive Yoruba government of Tinubu, note that his unholy Muslim/Muslim ticket with the north is already bearing fruits that may consume your region soon..... the fulani jihadists are just getting started and don't plan to leave your region (south west) any time soon.... Tinubu won't be president for long, you and other Yorubas who love to spread falsehood and hate against Nnamdi Kanu will surely regret Tinubu's presidency in due time.... You made the following false notion below... Knowing that he stands no chance of being freed by the upper courts and knowing if he appeals , the President can not grant a pardon on a matter already before appealNnamdi Kanu already filed a notice of appeal in court - https://www.arise.tv/nnamdi-kanu-files-appeal-challenges-terrorism-conviction-and-life-sentences/ DomPerignon: |
| Re: Igbo Governors Fake Promises, 4 Months Gone, Nnamdi Kanu Still In Prison by WizardOfNG: 1:37pm On Mar 12 |
gidgiddy:Stop making noise and face reality. Ekpa is in jail in Finland and not a single Igbo leader or individual has dared petition the Finnish Government for his release because you all know such is impossible to achieve. Yet you want to be blackmailing and gaslighting Tinubu to release Kanu since you believe Nigeria is lawless and a nation where anything goes. Where are the thread demanding Finland release Ekpa because he is "innocent"? Yet you all disturb Nigeria on social media every second of every day demanding release "innocent" Kanu. Una go explain tire because Tinubu I know understands the importance of appearing to do the right thing on the international stage. You can cry all you want but Kanu the terror boss and gang leader will not leave jail till Ekpa, his foot soldiers, does. |

BIAFRA will be attained so you can FACE THE NORTH SQUARELY. You putting NNAMDI KANU in jail to please the North has backfired SOLIDLY. They just killed your 5th OBA. You are very shameless unity beggars. Hiding behind the North to promote igbo hatred has been exposed , as TINUBU became President. You can't twist the narrative again as that buffer you work behind to castigate and villify IGBOs is now killing your people without scrupuls. Una go suffer and remember this SOUTHERN UNITY IS DEAD. ![]() WizardOfNG: |
