Retro9090:Their economy is not as inflated as naija. Interest rate is majorly a reflection of economic inflation. |

The MMF and fixed deposit rate here are nothing to write home about; however, the fixed income fund annual rate is on par with the Nigerian fixed income fund annual rate. Fixed deposit rate for 12 months (1.20% with tax deducted for foreigners) Retro9090: |

EquityM:Nah 2% for mmf is too low, that is not investment. Better to buy gold. Even dollar mutual fund does far more than 2%, is the currency stronger than dollar? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 6:56am On Mar 11 |
1 USD = 31 baht. The dollar has no value here; however, Asian countries prefer a stronger dollar for tourism and trade purposes. Gold is the king here; nevertheless, only their citizens can access gold trading. One of my coworkers is currently trading gold; she's damn rich. I've signed up for the unhedged equity fund, and I'll see how it works once my KYC has been approved. Bluearrow: |

This GT money market fund rate of 17.87% looks good compare to Stanbic rate. Does management fees of 1% net asset value (NAV) apply to capital as well or profit alone? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by sky404: 12:38pm On Mar 11 |

| Re: Mutual Funds by rukyboy(m): 11:40am On Mar 13 |
These mumu GTB people are telling me it will take 24hrs to receive redeemed funds. I'm disappointed!! |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Crossblueart: 12:42pm On Mar 13 |
I think that's kinda the norm. Cowrywise is the same. You can get it to your stash almost immediately but transferring your redeemed funds straight to your bank account takes 24 hours. Cardinal Stone takes between 2 - 3 business days. Those are the two I've withdrawn from so far. rukyboy: |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Preator: 1:56pm On Mar 13 |
Crossblueart:I think a few do near instant. I use stanbic when i need funds beyond the cowrywise 24hours window. You can withdraw by 8am and get it before 12 with stanbic. Every FM get their pros and cons |
| Re: Mutual Funds by rukyboy(m): 2:46pm On Mar 13 |
At least . Stanbic is fast. Tho not instant. I give it to them |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 3:41pm On Mar 13 |
Preator:Well, I guess it depends on how much you're trying to take out from them. I was handed a form to fill when I wanted pulling out 18m few weeks back. This is almost 4 days after sending them a mail. But another FM (and it's not even one of the popular ones) liquidated 54m for me the same day I sent them a mail request. Different strokes perhaps…. |

| Re: Mutual Funds by Preator: 4:47pm On Mar 13 |
Neurotika:My post was on the app withdrawal which is for 5m and below. For higher amounts, its usually slower |
