Nothing Buhari and APC have not destroyed in our national life. For the acclaimed giant of Africa, it is only retrogression, backwardness and under development while politics continues to be the order of the day. Meanwhile, even the devil has supporters.

Anyone who does not understand that power is Nigeria's biggest priority - not Coastal roads meant to feed corrupt people like Chagoury, does not understand anything. |

This simply means the military government left us better electricity supply. Our civilians have not been able to double why they met. |

RightChannel:Nigeria declined from 9th in electricity power accessibility in 1999 under the PDP to 19th under the APC in 2023 and till now the worst continues to befall this nation. Yet some deadbeat zombies believes this contraption of a nation is on course for greatness. Not when electricity power generation and accessibility is the fundamental basis of development for any nation is in an abysmal state. |

Racoon:It's under the APC more Nigerians have access to power supply compared to where we are in 2015. What did the PDP do for 16 years? Nigeria didn't achieve any Tangible Thing between 1999 and 2015. |

Racoon:Go through the list you posted again, more Nigerians now have access to Electricity compared to 1999. The PDP met it at 44%, tell us what they increased it to between 1999 and 2015. I know a lot of Niger Delta communities without access to electricity, but the NDDC is now lighting up most of them |

DeepSight:Not just power but the cost of it. Power is too expensive in this country. How can those in craft fabricate their wares when the rational available power is not within their means. Even federal government had to install 10 billion naira worth of solar in Aso Rock because they can not meet up with 47 billion naira bill for power consumption so how do you expect the ordinary citizens to cope. Cost is everything. |

Do you guys remember those Buhari e warriors some years back with their “Nigeria will be great again” slogan- Now it is the renewed hopelessness warriors on board…Rather than demand accountability from our leaders we allow tribal and religious sentiments turn us to idiiots and bots that just talk without thinking. |

See shame abeg. I live in a part of Nigeria that has never seen electricity and may never see in the next 50 years. We've lost hope on govt that Nigerians now create their own electricity, water, and even education. God help us. I mean help all us including politicians and us citizens who even destroy the country with greed more than politicians |

BATified2023:No government since 1999 built more power stations than OBj. In fact, Jonathan continued from where OBJ stopped. When it comes to electricity, APC's Buhari and Tinubu are a big calamity that befell this country. These folks were only interested in abdicating that responsibility so that governors, who will never invest in power, will take over. |

Stop comparing. Are you too blind to see that both parties(pdp & apc) are same assholes recyling themselves. These leaders are the ones who saw what was once a good Nigeria . Since i was born till now , na so so complain i dey hear. The country has been on a rapid decline and this is in all areas . Education , security , infrastructure , leadership. This power you are talking about has been consistently inconsistent. Have you ever celebrated one week of uninterupted power supply since you were born ? Right now as Nigerians , we get worried when theres power for verly long hours because we are scared that whenever it goes off, it might take a while before it comes back. We need to tell our selves the truth . Our leaders in thw past and the current administration have failed us. I really do hope we do what is right. , Parachoko: |

People in the comments don't even understand how to read the charts. What happened to Education in this country? Just shouting APC, Buhari. Despite our rapid population growth, access to electricity went up to 61%. We were around 125 million In 1999. That means we would have been close to 100% now if not for the reckless population explosion. |

ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY AT 61% FOR A DEVELOPING COUNTRY OF 250 MILLION WHICH ONLY GOT ITS FIRST POWER PLANT (Kainji Dam) IN 1964, AFTER A CENTURY OF COLONIAL ROBBERY, IS NOT A TERRIBLE RECORD. AT 61% NIGERIA STILL PROVIDES ELECTRICITY TO OVER 170 MILLION PEOPLE, MORE THAN THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF ANY AFRICAN COUNTRY, and more than the entire population of West Africa minus us. SO KINDLY TAKE THIS NONSENSICAL THREAD AND GO SIT DOWN SOMEWHERE. These kind of threads where you people pull up all these small countries of 20 million people and start using them to insult Nigeria....it's so irritating. Give me one cogent reason why such countries should have any power issues at all when a single power plant can serve their entire country? They don't face the level of challenges we face, in any way, shape or form, so mentioning them alongside us is just plain mischievous. MEANWHLE, TINUBU'S POWER GENERATION AGENDA IS VERY MUCH ON COURSE. He was the one who revived the Siemens Power Deal, currently rebuilding our transmission and distribution infrastructure. IT WAS THIS SAME SIEMENS THAT FIXED THE EGYPTIAN POWER GRID. So, we are on course. We're on it. NIGERIANS SHOULD EXERCISE PATIENCE WITH Mr President. |

There's no doubt that most of the statistics on Nigeria are very wrong. Nigeria should not be amongst the first 20. Let alone the first 10 in Africa. |

I am over 40, I have never experienced 24 hours electricity. I pity this generation and the coming generation, everything has been destroyed by PDP, APC and others, they are all looters. Obasanjo alone spent over $16 billion on electricity but nothing work. All government in Nigeria including Obi are worst and useless, all Nigerian past leaders whether dead or alive are wicked, evil, non chalant, wasteful and idiot. |
