Recently, students and teachers of a school in the Ogba area of Lagos narrowly escaped death on Monday 9th of March 2026 after a four-storey building housing the institution collapsed minutes after they evacuated the structure.

A woman shares how her twin children narrowly escaped the school building collapse in Ogba, Lagos State, a few days ago❗

When the teachers were marching students out of the school before it collapsed, my twins were in a lab upstairs, unaware of what was going on. One of them stepped out and noticed the school was empty. He looked through the window and saw all the students outside, then told his brother and they both ran out. It wasn’t up to two minutes after they came out that the school building collapsed.

God is good 👍 I am happy all the students escaped.

If they are very dear to God why would they hustle for money to pay private school fees because their governors steal money that should employ teachers for the free education of all children?

27 years of city boy's master plan, did Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu employ up to 19,500 teachers?
That is the number employed by PDP's progressive governor in Oyo state- Makinde.

My secondary school also collapsed some years ago. The issue is they play the schools to be one story in the beginning. But as the school expands they add more floors meanwhile the foundation was meant for one story

Watch the video and see how fast it took for the entire building to come down. On a school day. And no single person died.

The foundation of that building may be for a storey building but greed will always make them to add more floors without strong reinforcements.

Not just observant but proactive not waiting until proprietor comes to say OK.

Meanwhile looking at the photo of the beautifully painted building you'll notice the cracks along the beams and pillars but who wants to be bad belle to point that out even as a parent grin

paying exorbitant school fees that actually feeds their ego rather than add value to the quality of their children education.

Only miracle can save us in Nigeria....that's why I thank God for God everyday
