Depends. you first have to know the maker of the unit then you can find out if they offer a downloadable Nigerian map that you can use with the unit.

Extension of different maps abound and they are hardware specific

The map is for a toyota highlander 2015, i would assume the system is made by toyota.

I tried toyota website and i was directed to get it from their dealers. I am not sure i know anyone willing to sell that in lagos

Map won't work in Nigeria. buy a 3rd party map and use

what's a third party map? is it changing the stereo to the one that supports carplay?

Yes, all these android screen or Garmin products

Explain more boss, I'm having same issue in my corolla, it can with binize android car play, the map isn't navigating,

How do i fix it please?

OEM car map will not work if there is no Nigerian map on it. You have to change to android screen type, you can then use Google maps or sygic for navigation

Android Auto by Google or Apple Car Play by Apple is a mirror of your phone user interface. Since your device has no connection issues, is the phone GPS radio turned on?

It's Google map, but it doesn't navigate whenever i wanna use it, like it's use to navigate on phone

Does the android head unit have inbuilt Android Auto? If it does, look for Android Auto in your phone and follow the instructions. You will find it under Device Connections.

Yes i think i have seen it before, I will check and revert back

I think is after market, because I have updated it many times from App store

I'm using infinix but I think I have seen android auto in the head unit,

I only connect my hospot to it, or is there something I'm not doing right?

Check the model number to confirm no be Chinese unit. Cause maps is suppose to use GPS for navigation after the initial startup with Internet

It came with the car from USA, but we know 2012 toyota corolla doesn't have android screen, so i believe they installed it over there..

The name of the android screen is BINIZE

Thanks, I just did now and it connected and the map works fine now and navigates too

Android screens are low quality compared to the OEM ones, how does the Garmin product works ?
