Olanrewaju Williams is a Christian and his wife, Kaosara, is a Muslim - and this year they are both fasting. For the first time since 1993, the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the Christian season of Lent are taking place at the same time. Both periods involve fasting, prayer and reflection. In Islam, you change your eating time. That is you eat from DUST to DAWN 5.00PM to 5.00 AM, instead of Dawn to dusk. This simply means not eating when the sun is up. In Christuanity, you start fasting from 12.00 AM, fast the whole day and break at 6 PM, then restart fast at 12.00 am.. During dry fast, which the common approach, you fast for 24hrs. TooMuchStuff:It is obvious that you are from those unexposed regions where only one religion and African tradition is dominant. In Yorubaland, hardly does religion play a role when we date. This is because each family has adherents of different faiths and you are not ignorant illiterate about other faiths. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,GCFR, is today happily married to Senator(Mrs), Remi Tinubu, a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, because the Yoruba are sophisticated and exposed to other faiths right from our childhood. Don't be deceived that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Allah of Muslims is a moon idol introduced and worshipped by the Arabs while the Christians serve and worship the true God of heaven which is not the same as Allah 10 Likes |

Validated:People usually think the faith they grew up with is the right one. A Muslim says Islam is true, a Christian says Christianity is true, a Hindu says Hinduism is true. That’s normal. But believing your path is right doesn’t mean you get to judge someone else’s. If two people are respecting each other’s faith and fasting together, that’s already better than trying to tell someone their soul needs fixing. 6 Likes

He is stating a clearly written fact of the Bible. 2Cor.6.14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Funny! Jesus here is talking about those who have accepted Him already and are living according to His commandments not to unbelievers. By the way, a Christian is someone who is saved by the death and resurrection of Christ and who follows Jesus as Lord. We can see this in the book of Romans in the New Testament. That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
