Please learn from my experience. On tuesday 10th of this month, I woke and prepared for work as usual and because my workplace is on the island, i wake up as early as 5am and go to work. So on this sad tuesday, I got to the bus stop, a private car stopped and there were 4 guys inside (driver, passenger seat, 2 at the back seat) then i joined them to be 3 at the back seat and i was by the window side. As the car moved on, suddenly the man in the middle just jump on me and the other guy held my hand, as i was struggling, i heard "we go shoot you oo", so i calm down. Then it dawn on me that i have entered one chance. They were slapped me several times and collected my phone, i gave them my opay password and phone password. They also took all the cash on me except for 200 naira that was deep deep in my pocket. So they brought my phone to my face to do face verification as OPAY security requires and i did it. They also asked for my laptop and i told them that i am a security man ( ), i had 15600 in my opay. They also asked for my ATM, i told them i dont use an ATM (this is true). Then they told me to close my eyes and they poured plenty rob on my eyes then push me out of the car. I struggled to open my eyes until one Aboki guy helped me water then i could be able see. So i jejely use the 200 in my pocket and went home. I had to use my neighbour phone to call opay and gtb to block my account. That same day, i went to retrieve my line at mtn office at ikoyi but now, i am so phoneless and the trauma is really taking a toll on me. Also, i had to log in to my opay through my brothers phone and i realised that they did not take my money but instead borrow a loan of 140k. So in total, it was 156500 (16500 + 140000) then i went to check the transfer history to see that they borrowed a loan. So when i noticed this, i had to message easemoni customer service and explained to them, they were so helpful. I transferred the loan amount to their account and my loan was cleared. This is a true life story and it definitely happened to me |

![]() Bro, thank God for your life. But one lesson everyone should learn from this your story is to always have a back up, hidden far away. Oya let's assume you didn't hide that #200 very far, what could you have done? But then again,if you had done transportation work before, you'd realize that one thing. During my years as a Keke rider,I came across several passengers , especially women who wouldn't board a Keke that has only men as passengers. Perhaps, for security reasons cuz of stories like this which they must had heard or their own passed personal experiences. |

Sonnobax15:EVEN AS A MAN, I CAN NEVER ENTER ANY BUS THAT IS JUST MEN ONLY, PRIVATE CAR IS NOW A NO - NO FOR ME. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY LADIES DONT WANT TO ENTER A CAR OR BUS FILLED WITH JUST MEN, I REALLY UNDERSTAND. |

I was once travelling, then when I got to the park, a lady came down and asked me to sit in the middle that she doesn't want to sit in the middle. This is someone I met at the park oh. Her supposed boyfriend too was trying to explain to me why she should sit by the door. The bad eyes I Tey look the bros, I'm sure he respected himself. I told them, I'd rather wait for another vehicle. When taking a vehicle sometimes, you have to be 100% at alert. The car you are entering is not yours, the people inside too are not your family. It might sound strange but no where is safe in the world. Stay active |

My friend told me his own experience. It was a bus full of men. I may type the experience later when I have time. Avoiding vehicles with only men is not a full guarantee. The Nigerian who was killed in South Africa, the passengers consisted of two men and a woman. Her presence didn’t make taking his life any more challenging. |

Rule no 1 don't enter a CAR... when going public transport I avoid cars like a plague... I rather trek.... Rule no 2...never put all your money in one bank account or device.... Always spread it... Rule 3...always pray to God for safety |

MONEY247:Your rule 3, should be rule one. When one is active,you don't need 1 and 2.. |

God will continue to protect us from things like this. Thank your God @op. That loan of ₦140k would have cost you more than ₦200k with interest. Your God did not allow them to withdraw the money before you blocked it. |

DMCA:If he never do am mean say he no really drive he keke for night. I don't know why I have never been a victim of one chance, scam or anything even though I have embarked on numerous journeys at odd hours. I remember when I was into rice business, I'd travel from East to North East and north West for paddy rice. I have been in one of the bush market in Taraba, immediately I left for my hotel, the market was attacked by bandits in broad daylight. |

Excelpeace:It is confusing because he said he lost 156500 (16500 + 140000). Besides, WHY would they leave money in his account?? |

Island yii naa ni shaaa. May God expose all the evildoers. Thank God for your life. Our leaders who have turned Nigeria into this mess and all those who contributed to it will never go unpunished by God. I talked about this thing recently here. Things will get even worse now that petrol price has increased but may God continue to protect us all. |

You're lucky with the disbursed loan that wasn't touched. I've have seen customers battle loans they didn't apply for even with police report....... A colleague entered on Gbagada expressway and they beat her in the Sienna upon seeing that her bank account had no money saying how can a fine girl like you be alive without money in your account. They took her phone and threw her out at Anthony b/s and she called her bf through someone to come to her aid. |

@Op , what made them unable to transfer the loan they borrowed from Opay into your account could have been non access to your transfer pin ?? You are lucky😁😁 |

Your testimony makes me realise,God has indeed been faithful to me. I used to enter private vehicles when I used to work at the Island. I never had this experience. |
