*ONDO POLICE DEBUNK REPORTS OF BANDITS ARREST AT AKURE AIRPORT*

The Ondo State Police Command wishes to categorically refute the misleading reports currently circulating across some media platforms alleging that four bandits were arrested at the Akure Airport.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Command wishes to state clearly that no such incident occurred at the Akure Airport, and there was no security breach of any kind at the facility.

The Command, however, received credible intelligence from a concerned citizen regarding the activities of suspected kidnappers around the Eleyewo axis of Akure. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, operatives of the Command launched a targeted operation in the area which led to the arrest of two suspects.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the suspects are Kidnap Logistics Suppliers aiding kidnap activities within the state. They have since made useful confessional statements that are currently aiding ongoing investigations and efforts to apprehend other members of the criminal network.

The Ondo State Police Command therefore urges members of the public to disregard the inaccurate reports suggesting that bandits were arrested at the Akure Airport, as such claims are false, misleading, and capable of causing unnecessary panic.

The Command further reassures residents that security around critical infrastructure, including the airport, remains intact and uncompromised. Members of the public are encouraged to continue with their lawful activities without fear and to always provide timely and credible information to security agencies.

The Commissioner of Police appreciates the vigilance and cooperation of citizens and reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of Ondo State.

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said the incident happened, but the Police is saying it did not

But why is Nigeria Police force like this ? What sort messed up mentality do they have that always want to make them deny the obvious?

So the the CP is saying no bandit was arrested, but he is confirming they arrested kidnap Logistics Suppliers. Why do they care so much about labels/names instead of crime bursting which should be their main focus?

Every airport should have it's own security system which includes a full compliment of transit police, regular type police and SWAT, period.

The Nigeria Police Service should have no business in or around airports, period.

We should end this stupid British system we operate with all our institutions. Our context and complex is entirely different from that colonial island nation where everything is centralized in a small space with a small population speaking identically.

This is a very shameless country. How can insecurity degenerate to this level ?

That is because there is one policing system so it is easy to hide agendas and conceal the truth.

Look at what happened in the US with the immigration order related deaths. See how the US Federal government (FBI) and Justice Departmemt painted a far different picture from what State police were saying.

A lot of injustice, persistent waves of crime and many needless deaths have occurred and will comtinue to occur because of agendas and unipolar views of potential solutions.

Imagine if those bandits hijack an aeroplane and use it for their evil deeds
