But you indicated her as your wife? If yes I dont think so. A mail was sent to the respect, but I dont know if they still include it in the mail they send now.

One of the reasons for denial is using the wrong type of visa. When it was allowed for VITEM IV recipients to go with family its still family reunion.

Brazil is giving more than. we expected. Very good country that welcome every foreigner with love and care.Good climatic condition. You are missing if you have your means to visit the country and you haven't.

Nigeria is in a special list for Brazilian visas.

Please how do one check why they got previously denied?

If you have travel history and good bank account statements then you got denied, something is wrong in your application. It might be your time of travel, the place you want to visit, your introduction letter is not well prepared because the CG handling application now is not smiling, he will check your account very well, read your letters and check your application again and again before making any decision.

Visiting and Business Applications are moving well so if you are applying for tourist Visa. I will advise you to arrange your docs very well and always give full details for the reason why you are traveling to Brazil just like you guys take Schengen serious (Brazil o kere mo)

You can reapply immediately, after 1 month or anytime after you are denied but find out why you are denied before you reapply cos this will help a lot in the next application (Brazil don’t state the reason for refusal/denial, that’s part of their rules) but you can still find out (if you know you know)

The truth is Applicants without travel history get Brazil visa very well. Just get the right informations and the logic, with luck. Tudo bem!

New update from the embassy. If you have pec pg or gcub scholarship, don't wait for legalization. They are approving visa for them. Just apply for visa only. Include your documents for legalization also and the payment receipts. Ensure that your police character certificate is up to date and not expired so that they can legalize it too. Which means you need to do another one and include it with your original documents since legalization is included.

Second update. Ensure that you include your original documents if sending documents for legalization process. They sent people documents back because original wasn't included. So, do well to include it in your documents going to the embassy with updated police character certificate.

Yes she as gotten her PR, I was told she will need to add her bank statement included as well, with the fact that mine will be showing enough fund for my travelling and could it be that I can’t be granted tourist visa because I already have a family there and does applying for family reunion visa makes a difference to the consulate.

I would love to know as well, I even added a medical report that shows my wife need me around for a surgery and the tourist application was not approved.

She wrote an invite at the Catario for the tourist as well and still got denied. Kindly list all important document needed for the family reunion application , I will genuinely appreciate it from someone that have went through the process by themself and it was granted ..

I used the process in the year 2023.... I know the procedure would have been changed by now.

I came into the country first and after 1 year 6months she joined me

They replied last month for me to submit a notarized invitation letter. I have done that since last month. So no update yet and I have written a letter to them, no response from them.

You need to be in Brazil first, then you can send invitation letter to your family

All the documents were not legalized during visa application. she only legalized them when the visa was approved because it will be needed at the policia federal in Brasil to process her RNE... police character birth certificate and our marriage were legalized at the Brazilian embassy and the embassy send them to Brasil directly with Fedex envelope she submitted

Ok 2026, you have to notarise the authorisation of minor with 2 approved lawyers. So many legalisation and notarisation this year

why not email the Brazilian consulate to inquire about the documents needed
