A senior official in the LASG ministry of drainage affairs stated clearly that those who drill boreholes in the Lekki axis are drinking sheet water.

Why would you rent let alone drink water in an area a senior official has clearly stated the problem? huh

The lekki awolowo was talking about is now the now Lekki phase one that everyone knows

Awolowo was talking about the original Lekki town that is after Dangote refinery around folu in ibeju Lekki that is the original Lekki not the sand field estate call Lekki phase one ( then its was called Maroko )

"On June 19, 1962, I was moved from Ikenne to Lekki. The journey to Lekki was an experience in itself. Lekki was a remote, waterlogged village, almost cut off from the rest of the world. To get there, one had to travel by canoe through mosquito-infested marshes.

The government’s intention was clear: to isolate me and make it as difficult as possible for my supporters to reach me. They chose a place that was physically taxing and geographically secluded.

However, the spirit of the people could not be broken. Despite the treacherous waters and the distance, hundreds of my supporters—men and women—found their way to Lekki. They came in canoes, often singing party songs that echoed across the lagoons. Their presence was a source of great strength to me during those sixteen days of restriction.

The bungalow where I was kept was modest, and the environment was harsh, but it provided a period of intense reflection. I spent my time reading, writing, and contemplating the future of our great nation. It was in these quiet, difficult moments at Lekki that my resolve to serve Nigeria was further tempered."

I doubt if this is Lekki, looks like Lekki-after-Ajah with that sand and daily I'm seeing, real Lekki waster is tending towards crimson in some area, she's even in a fairer environment, let her come to real Lekki...... everywhere not be Lekki undecided undecided undecided
The real Lekki is that Ajah axis. The place people call Lekki now is just a piece of reclaimed land.

wunmi590:
huh

It is as a result of accumulated long overdue water cleaning chemicals such as alum and chlorine, which is mostly used in that part of area to clean their water before use..

For people who live in that area, it is always advisable to clean your water tank like one in 2 month, if you are using water cleaning chemicals..

But if you are not using chemicals, it is advisable to wash your tank like 3 times a year...
Is it not better to advice them to advocate for pipe borne water supply, with their friends and families in government huh

Government does not provide water in the developed world, private company does. As it stands, if you cant drill a bore hole you beter off buying water for your tank. We all think government is responsible for everything NO, some things need to be done by private companies .In the Uk water production and distribution are d one by loads of private companies, not government
