Lagos does not have pipe borne water. Every house in Lagos including government offices have their own borehole.

Awolowo was talking about the original Lekki town that is after Dangote refinery around folu in ibeju Lekki that is the original Lekki not the sand field estate call Lekki phase one ( then its was called Maroko )

Your water is not coming from rock.
Your water source is from mud or sand used for reclaiming land from lekki sea.

They do have, it stopped rushing but sometimes now, it rush for some days and go off for some weeks. Who get time to Dey wait resort to drilling ur own borehole

A senior official in the LASG ministry of drainage affairs stated clearly that those who drill boreholes in the Lekki axis are drinking sheet water.

Why would you rent let alone drink water in an area a senior official has clearly stated the problem?

To be fair this issue is likely all over Lagos and Nigeria as we don't have proper sewers

If my memory serves Nelson biology for secondary school says you should have 25 metres between a pit latrine and a well.

Now in most residences we have poorly done septic tanks with boreholes or Wells less than 10 metres away from them.

Also a naija matter you can't even vouch for water you buy from sellers of water. It is not as if they have any documented process for certification.

So here we are.
