While a civilian has a broad First Amendment right to call for "dissent" or "revolution" (as long as it doesn't incite "imminent lawless action", a U.S. soldier is governed by a much stricter set of rules called the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).

Have you heard of Article 94? The law pre-dates Trump

Also, under Article 2 of the UCMJ, retired members of the regular military who are entitled to pay (those who did 20+ years) remain subject to military law for the rest of their lives.

Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, soldiers are legally obligated to refuse unlawful orders as they have to only obey lawful ones.
They are thought this and trained that way.
Your argument seems to be that US Senators whose job is to provide oversight of the Military, reminding soldiers something that they are legally obligated to do and trained as such is a call for "revolution"?
The hint that your argument was nonsensical should have been when the Grand Jury who will indict anything chose not to indict and when a Federal Judge already ruled in Kelly's favor.

Furthermore, you should really google the First Amendment and Congress's Speech and Debate clause.

The military operates in a chain of command from the president to the defence secretary, Generals down to the privates on the field. You have higher ups debate and come to a decision on what to do

Telling 22yr olds on the field to start second guessng what orders the more experienced superiors have debated and decided on is abject foolishness and causes chaos in an organization like the military

For example during the chase of Bin Laden, there were several times The president, Defence secretary and Generals disagreed on approach, the debated it and came out with one opinion.
Now imagine the President and war cabinet decides to attack a location and the 20 seals who didnt even know where and what the target is, got to Abottabad, then 11 of them refused because they are not sure if the order to kill Bin Laden and his family was legal or not

Even in Nazi Germany, many soldiers refused illegal orders, especially orders to kill innocents and nothing happened to them. They were neither punished or demoted, at best some of them were transferred.

If decent men could refuse illegal orders in a Nazi fascist dictatorship, how much more in a supposedly egalitarian democracy?

I wonder if these people would argue the same way if the illegal order was to shoot their mother.
