The truth of the matter is that the decision was the correct one but was delayed.
This decision should have happened immediately Senegalese players left the pitch, but not making the decision then. They shouldn't have made the decision now, they should have allowed it stand.

The ref should have consulted the match commissioner and declare a walkover. Doing so after many months by CAF is bad decision

When the umpire does not get it right the image of the game suffers. Senegal has gone to court...

Better for them! CAF must be subjective and silly to have striped them off the title. If this stands, it's really going to be a bad precedent for the African football.

We are used to this in Africa where someone will lose an election, in fact, he will be 3rd on the polls but will be declared the winner.

Forfeiture of a match is not a referee's decision to make, rather its a federation matter. That's part of the communique that was issued and it is part of the rules.

But it was Morocco fault that Senegal walked off the pitch and destabilized the game flow. The law is the law. If you abandon a game, you forfeit it.
