They are Yah0o boys.

The two of them are friends.

So they went to an iPhone shop yesterday to shop for their girlfriends.

Buy an iPhone for themselves and for their babes each of them.

They bought 3 iPhone15Promax and and iPhone 16.

Everything worth 5Million naira.

The paid for the phones.

But guess what? It was a fake transfer.

The owner of the shop quickly noticed that the 5 million naira transfer they did was fake.

He rushed them outside.

Crowd gathered. And these two guys confessed that yes it was a fake transfer they did.

He collected the all the phones back.

The crowd was beatinġ them, but the owner of the shop asked them to stop. He t1ed them together and bundled them up inside a car to the police station.

All because of a phone that will expire in 3yrs time. I still remember the euphoria around the iPhone 4 to 6 back then. Today, those devices are nowhere to be found.

While I strongly condemn their actions, it’s also important to ask a critical question were they ever genuinely given the same opportunities and simply chose to ignore them?

It’s misleading to compare individuals operating in a dysfunctional environment with those in systems that are structured to support growth. Nigeria, unfortunately, is plagued by systemic inefficiencies weak institutions, unstable policies, and limited access to capital which make business survival extremely difficult. The reality is that many businesses collapse within their first year, not necessarily due to incompetence, but because the ecosystem is fundamentally hostile to success.

Like I said I don't support crime but not everyone has the patience to keep enduring suffering while hoping for better days which might never come.
