President @officialABAT State Visit to UK. Never underestimate the place of destiny.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, your journey has come full circle.

I remember Hilton Metropole, 1994. In exile, I asked you rhetorically what the struggle had cost you. You said: a lot, including selling your houses in America to sustain the democratic cause. I told you then: never mind you would be the greatest beneficiary of that struggle.

Today, in this same United Kingdom, where the concern then was how to secure travel documents to get to Auckland and push Nigeria’s democratic agenda at the @FCDOGovUK meeting you are now being hosted by the King and country.

History has a way of validating conviction.

You went to Auckland. You stayed the course. And now, destiny has spoken.

As I told you then: when my friends say something must move and it refuses they kick it. We did more than kick it. We moved serious nations to get here.

Akanni omo olode ide.
Ikoyi eso omo a gbo won nu, je bin lolu olori ogun.

I am happy for you. Truly.
And yes I congratulate myself too, for seeing what destiny had already written.

Alajobi agbe wa o. The optics are powerful. The moment is earned.

But as you return, remember there is still work to be done.

Paul Biya also have a destiny to be president since 1982.

What is the destiny of Kwara people under Tinubu? Is it their destiny to be afflicted with bokoharam while Tinubu keeps flying from one country to the other?

At least, I know that the destiny of Peter Obi is to cry on tv, lie shamelessly and never become the president of Nigeria.

Nigeria is facing one of its worst insecurity crises and a failing economy under Tinubu, yet Peter Obi is still living rent-free in your medulla oblongata.

At this point, it’s not concern, it’s obsession.

When exactly do you plan to outgrow this, Seunmsg, or is it a lifelong commitment?
Re: Bola Tinubu: Never Underestimate The Place Of Destiny - Segun Sowunmi by Bobloco: 11:28pm On Mar 18
If Tinubu hadn’t become president, we’d still be hearing how the ‘man who built Lagos and tamed the Atlantic ocean' would have turned Nigeria into the best country on earth.

Well, destiny ensured he grabbed it , snatched it and run away with it and he became president and now Nigerians can see the reality for themselves: worsening insecurity, a failing economy, and citizens displaced in their own country, as if we’re at war.

When is he joining APC
I'm surprised no one is calling him a betrayal
Nigerian politics is purely transactional

What type of destiny? Is it destiny to plunge 97 million people into poverty? Or destiny to lift people out of poverty? Is it destiny to make life harder for the masses? Is it the destiny to pretend not to know what's going when people are being kidnapped and killed any day? Is it destiny to be a drug baron and forfeit $460000 dollars and then come back to your country and steal the richest state by taxation, fraud and deceit.

Remember, even the devil right now has a destiny.

People can share their experience about a person they know and even speak well of them without necessarily being in the same political camp with them.

The UK state visit of President Tinubu is an historic one and it should normally be a moment of proudness for every citizen of Nigeria. You don’t have to be bitter and negative about everything.

What is historic about a state visit? Why should we be proud of a state visit to the UK? If you can enlighten me I might join in the hoos and haahs

Even if I explain, you will still come here to argue otherwise. You can’t wake a person that is pretending to be sleeping. So, believe whatever keeps you angry.

So you were angry before your gods took office
Allow me express my anger in peace
I don't see what is there to rejoice in sniffing the behind of our past colonialists and seeking their validation when they have helped our corrupt leaders to keep their loots safe while impoverishing the common man; Something they'll not dare do to their own country and citizens

Why do you and Tinubu chase outside validation so much? Is it low self-esteem or imposter syndrome? From aiming to please Worldbank and IMF to celebrating a mere state visit to Britain, a fast declining empire. Why not focus on Nigeria and Nigerians and actually secure the country and make it prosperous for its citizens? As things stand today, Britain will gain more from Nigeria than Nigeria can ever hope to gain from it.

How is a state viist an acheivement?

In his personal journey as an individual, yes, as Sowunmi said, it is a remarkable point to arrive at, considering his history in exile there.

But it does nothing for Nigeria as a country, indeed it remains a shame that we can have someone of such dubious character before the world.
