Slowly, we'd get there. CBN rates of under 5% with low inflation and systemic business support would turbocharge the economy
I also hope the reduction in amounts offered feeds back into reduced public debt. Not moving from local to foreign debt.
P.S. I'm not against sustainable debt if used properly.

I woke up with this mortgage idea and lending system in my mind,and through out the day I have been having This idea that has potentials but our banks and lending rates comes to play,what you just said is the truth if the administration can look into this aspects our economy will boost in no time..

If one starts looking into the economics of the mortgage industry, it becomes clear why housing contributes upwards of 25% to the gdp of many developed nations. That in itself can have it's drawbacks but the modern mortgage is in itself an economic miracle. It's almost what electricity was to tech. The benefits to the citizens, government, banks, wider economy cannot be overstated.

Good morning, everyone. My tbills i did one year ago with UBA just dropped (bought from primary auction through them). And they deducted 10% WHT. Which is fine.

My question is, can we track or check with the govt. all the WHT, we've paid for the year? Can it be used to file tax. Please someone should throw more light on this. Thank you.

Request for a WHT credit note/ receipt from the bank. This is assuming that they have your TAX ID in their database.

Yes you can. Give your bank or investment House your tax ID for remittance.
If you are in Lagos create an account on the LIRS Portal, check the payment options, select the period and you will see it remitted to your account on the LIRS.

It appears the CBN is continuing to reduce the amounts allocated whilst also reducing the rates at the long end. Interestingly enough, there has also been, so far, no primary bond auction this month (7 working days to the end of March). Watching to see if one is done next week

yes my account was debited, but i dint recieve the usual confirmation email. Usually, the confirmation email is what i hold on to. However, i dint recieve it this time around

No, I don't have a calendar. I simply check the DMO's website for their monthly bond auction circulars here https://www.dmo.gov.ng/fgn-bonds/bonds-offer-circular

I noticed years ago there is usually one every month. But I have not seen an auction circular for this month listed. There is still another week to go so there might be one next week. I do think its unlikely since about a week's notice is normally given. That said, I would not rule it out. Furthermore, an auction in March may also not be desired given current oil prices

Payment is made by the FG. Its not automated. it is the holiday that and laxity on the from the DMO and not network. You have to endure till at least Monday/Tuesday.
