During the my own recruitment, the HR team from the London borough I work for, contacted all my references both academic and professional, had video calls with them to discuss me.

It took 3 months between when I was informed I got the job to my first day at work, they didn't want to take any chances.

This is the reason why you should read and know it. Dont scam you way through cos the day of reckoning will come and you will wish the ground can swallow you.

I can say with all certainty that she did not attend any higher education in Nigeria. I doubt if she even pass biology in high school. These are things you will have to memorize in any Nigeria biology class.

An acquaintance who moved to UK contacted me a while ago. She was applying for care job and wanted me to say she worked with me in so so hospital and list plenty skills she demonstrated.

Perhaps the lady is a Dietetics technologist and like other technologists in Nigeria that tend to usurp duties meant for the real professionals in the field, she claimed to be a Dietitian just to gain higher pay without having higher knowledge.

There are some things you just cannot easily learn when the foundation is lacking.

I wonder how she would have coped with complex metabolism and biochem in dietetics, if even basic anatomy/biology is missing.

Nutrition and Dietetics combined degree is a serious course in the UK, and takes good 4 years like Pharmacy.

A dietician that doesn't know the digestive system, nor be juju be that?

How will she understand the TCA cycle, for example?
