Honestly, I don't know whether to cry, laugh or just shake my head in disgust. Our young boys and girls attitude of "I no send anybody or e no concern anybody" is worrisome. As I'm typing this now, Three young boys of at worst if their age is much wouldn't be more than 20yrs. Equally came with 3 girls who I can swear with anything are not more than 16 or 17, to the guest house I am working as a security officer. They came in the spirit of celebrating the Eid, they have booked 2 full apartment till tmrw. While entering the guest house, you guys need to see how street people especially parents were looking at them and shaking their heads. The young guys with expensive iPhones and clothes and bling bling. These are people's children and they want to stay till tmrw. My question is: what do they tell their parents at home, or the parents too are aiding them bcus of the money they bring home. I don't even want to ask how they make the money they're lavishing. Guys! Who's to blame for this moral decadence of our genz? . N.B: I am not saying immorality hasn't been there since ages o, just that it has been taking to a whole new dimension, another level entirely. |

Country with with no job opportunities. Graduate everywhere with no hope of getting job no electricity bad roads everywhere why the politicians are highly rich with the nation resources. What do you expect. it will even get worse if Tinubu win the next election it will now be complete 16 years of failure and set back from APC. Here in Delta State the jobs opportunities are (Keke, yahoo, hookup, pos, etc) the governor will just do one bridge for 8 year's and move away with looted founds with no accountability intact many will be praising him. |

Come Delta state or Edo State, make you see Immorality with GenZ firsthand. A hotel in my area was burnt down by a GenZ crew recently. The GenZ's were smoking carelessly in their rooms and on the lobby, even with NO SMOKING notice visible to the blind. The security man asked them to stop smoking in the hotel, come see where these boys start to yab security man, the security man responded with Na una mama and papa I pity, boom these boys started beating the aboki security man. Just as you know, aboki with dagger na 5&6 aboki pulled out his dagger and stabbed one of them, the guy was rushed to the hospital and lost his life the following day. GenZs mobilised back to the hotel compound in their GLK's, and ML's and started throwing plastic cans filled with petrol and diesel in rooms, before you could say Jack the whole hotels was in flames 2 people lost their lives 3 others with severe burns, that will disfigure them for life. |

Kalulu44:This generation has more disposable income at a young age than many generations of Nigerians in the past, it'll take 60 years for us to draw a reasonable conclusions wether or not it's a good or bad just like you can draw a reasonable conclusion right now that lack of access to disposable income from 60 years up until now is responsible for our stunted growth |

And who caused this high rate of immorality? Same previous generations who complain. We copied everything bad about Western and black america culture thinking it was cool, classy and refined. |
| Re: Immorality Has Eaten Deep Into Our Genz by lukman: 12:13am On Mar 21 |
Don't blame them, blame their parents. There are alot of other GenZs that turn out well due to good home training. We copied everything from the westerners and abandoned our culture that emphasized morality. |

All these unseriousness by the these young people will be of great advantages for their mates that are grinding hard when the unseriousness sets are busy bubbling. There will be gaps to be filled in the future, a wide gap indeed because those that are not serious now will find it very difficult to fit in when the time comes while those that are serious will have several opportunities to make choices and select. Reason things are more difficult for now is because of the competition, but then, the competition will not be as that tight as what we are currently experiencing. What the young adults are experiencing now is as a result of the level of seriousness by the majority of the present young adults that they put in place when they were younger, and then, there were no rooms for unseriousness like what we are experiencing now. Now, the resultant effects of the seriousness by the then teenagers then results stiff competition we are now experiencing. |

Guys! Who's to blame for this moral decadence of our genz? . N.B: I am not saying immorality hasn't been there since ages o, just that it has been taking to a whole new dimension, another level entirely.[/quote]The society needs to turn back to God. A godless society has no restraints, no moral compass, no responsibility to higher powers, lack of awareness of consequences in life after here. The older generation has a share of the blames. Some parents don't care about moral upbringing of their wards. The politicians do things without consequences. Some religious leaders lead double and hypocritical lifestyles. Joblessness. Get-rich-quick syndrome. We may not like it but an unregenerated soul doesn't care about moral standards. Anything goes. And that is what a godless society looks like. |

| Re: Immorality Has Eaten Deep Into Our Genz by Nobody: 12:13pm On Mar 21 |
Society is literally falling apart and the rate of immorality is now at an all-time high. We are busy chasing "vibes" while our values are going down the drain. May God help the next generation, because the world we are leaving for them is looking very scary. |
| Re: Immorality Has Eaten Deep Into Our Genz by kiddaz: 1:47pm On Mar 21 |
Poverty, failed parenting, greed and peer pressure etc are the major causes of such. If I tell you those small small girls are into whocup you no go believe. If I tell you their parents are aware you fit dey doubt am, some of them are the breadwinners of their homes and are outrightly encouraged by their parents. Some are from broken homes too where the other isn't available and the mother is a retired from the whocup League and now a senior whocup coach. It's a sad situation bro and it will get worse as the environment isn't encouraging otherwise. People learn to survive by any means necessary |
| Re: Immorality Has Eaten Deep Into Our Genz by Stayingalive: 2:48pm On Mar 21 |
Kalulu44:ofcourse expected. But explain the how multidimensional poverty in Nigeria is not an enabler. Explain how parent become too busy that even both working parent can hardly afford a good life. Explain why this people are mostly from the poor background? How many well to do ladies are sitting in a hotel? Now I am not naive that good country don’t have immorality but it is mostly not our own case. Our culture don’t support this type of behavior the way it is in e.g US but difficult situation and bad behavior from leaders has been a good enabler |
