Do you still remember how people slept in cyber café in the early 2000s? When there was nothing like romance scam aka internet fraud (yahoo yahoo) among young people. When young people went for overnight browsing which cost about N200 to N250 then. You would definitely find the various categories of people in cyber cafés then:

1. The very serious and studious young lads who have come to learn more about admission process in foreign universities. These were the admission seekers.

2. Those that have come to innocently chat with international friends on Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger. No scam intention back then.

3. Those that have come to send virtual greeting cards to their crush living in another state or town.

4. Those that were trying to get familiar with internet usage, and needed more time such as overnight browsing to explore.

5. There were also some spoilt boys that were coming to overnight browsing to watch porn movies and view photos of naked women. I remember one guy in my area back then. We usually met at the cyber café, and each time I peeped into his computer screen, what greeted me was always the naked photos of women. I kept wondering why someone would sacrifice his sleep just to view naked women.

I think from 2001 to about 2006 was a common era for overnight browsing.

Just there were still some sort of moral value back then and no one was "proud" enough to say that they were doing such. Unlike these days where people will boldly admit to it.

I still remember one white girl i met in a cybercafe those days and i was crushing on her, even collected her yahoo email address. Little lulu my crush that year. I don try for this world shaa.

i had this woman who was a true friend she was a single mother of 4 back then she wanted me to come over but she wasnt buoyant enough. i later press but never had the thought to bill her before i quit those vices. we still good friend her kids are all grown up now ond one is married with a kid but she now look older with a wrinkled looks if i had married her then i would have definitely moved on lol. but she is a very nice person till date

Ahhh 🤗 that time we will carry sweater (for those who browse in the cafe with air-conditioning) and wear long trouser (because of mosquito🦟)

Back then the sweetest time of night browsing was between 2:30am to 5:am when we who came to the cyber cafe without any money or hope to browse would see some people sleeping at their computer then we will 'jejely' shift them and take over their computer 🖥️

By the time dem wake up we don download over 2 gig of games and applications for our Nokia java and Symbian phones
