Why FIFA failed to honour the NFF's Protest against DR Congo

- Because Nigeria’s protest was submitted on November 28 for a match played on November 16, it fell well outside the allowable window.

- The NFF’s complaint was received by FIFA on November 28, 2025, nearly two weeks after the match in Rabat, falling well outside the allowable window.

- The NFF did not pay the mandatory protest fee of 1,000 Swiss francs, which must accompany such submissions. As a result, the case was not formally processed by FIFA’s judicial bodies.

For reasons best known to FIFA, the organization appeared uninterested in this matter from the outset ,perhaps because a thorough investigation could expose shortcomings in its due diligence when clearing the DR Congo players. It is likely that any formal review of the petition would favor Nigeria; however, such a ruling could also prompt DR Congo to challenge FIFA legally, given that the governing body had initially approved the players’ eligibility.

point one and two looks like a repetition. And i dont understand the last point. Would they have overlooked the late submission if we had paid?

Aside Victor Osimhen who was obviously excused before his arm injury, Galatasaray have got quite a solid number of International players called up by their national teams.

Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, CIV, Turkey, Colombia, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Hungary. 15 international callups.

"You are not getting a worse world cup than South Africa in 2010. That tournament never felt like a world cup" - Wayne Rooney (TheOverlap podcast).

Why e no talk am before now? Is this opinion shaped and influenced by CAF's decision to strip Senegal of the 2025 AFCON and award it to Morocco?

e mouth Dey smell jare these folks always using opportunity they can find to disparage the African continent!

Unfortunately Morocco’s desperation to win Afcon at all cost has damaged the reputation of the game from Africa which has presented the best opportunity for anyone to run their mouths as they wish! I won’t be blame anyone any longer now for saying whatever!

Go figure considering where England later finished.

If we could endure borefest like the 1990 and 2002 WCs then he should zip it about the 2010 WC.

just went on CAS website to know if they list hearings of cases they want to prosecute.
Good news is they do. If you scroll down you will see the list of hearings published on the 10th of this month for all the cases they will prosecute this month.
Bad news is that there is no mention of our cases in that list for this month.
I dont know if even if we get a positive result next month we will be able to replace drc.
This is the site for anyone interested. https://www.tas-cas.org/

What if DRC loses the playoff? 🤣🤣

I've not really said anything about this case but the obvious fact here is the players had their chances and blew it.
