Plane collides with ground vehicle New York’s LaGuardia, closing the airport

An Air Canada flight collided with a Port Authority vehicle after landing at LaGuardia Airport, according to authorities.

Authorities did not immediately provide details on casualties.

The New York Police Department confirms the collision but could not immediately offer additional information.

A spokesperson for the New York City Fire Department says firefighters responded to reports of a plane that crashed into a vehicle on the runway at 11:38 p.m.

The Federal Aviation Administration’s National Airspace System website reports LaGuardia has closed.

Photos show the jet with severe damage to the front of the aircraft.

What is bad in the OP reporting the incidence. Is information sharing not a means to keep people informed of happenings around the world? As long as he's not sharing fake news, he should not be discouraged, na him get time to source for news and share it.

I tire for some people o. If they are arguing religion, tribes or politics, whatever else they do that isn't any of these three, they will find a way to attack themselves like immatured people. As in I cannot imagine adults so immature.

Nigerian politicians always giving excuses, they won't copy better policies from other western countries, the only palliatives Nigeria politicians can think of is just to share Rice.
Instead of the president to have a meeting with MAN manufacturing associations of Nigeria on how they can reduce operational cost of product manufacturing, either the president should provide emergency subsidy only for diesel to mitigate rising cost of production so that the cost of goods wont skyrocket overnight in the market.

It was a fire fighting vehicle attending to an emergency at the Airport.

Very unfortunate.

From my experience working with at the Airport, this is likely an unfortunate situation, but "blame" on the fire fighters to an extent.

A plane that is given right to land and to taxi, does not stop for anyone; every one clears the runway. No other plane will be in the way if traffic control is doing its job.

But emergencies are not planned, so fire fighters responding to an emergency to save a life dont normally stop for anyone too....BUT they must be on the lookout for cars and passengers not obeying or unaware of them, not to talk of a whole plane.
